What a fun room for a little boy! Our team decided on a camping theme for this little one complete with a tent bed and an airplane overhead. Custom green built in cabinets provide the perfect reading nook before bedtime. Relaxed bedding and lots of pillows add a cozy feel, along with whimsical animal artwork and masculine touches such as the cowhide rug, camp lantern and rustic wooden night table. The khaki tent bed anchors the room and provides lots of inspiration for creative play, while the punches of bright green add excitement and contrast.

The main living space is configured as one uninterrupted volume of space. These public spaces open immediately to the pool and backyard living areas by means of sliding glass panels that fully disappear and accentuate the indoor to outdoor relationship. Upstairs, the master balcony overlooks the backyard space from above.

We converted what used to be this home’s master bedroom suite into a study and home office. We really enjoyed creating the built in book shelves for this study. These custom units feature open and adjustable shelving, and full roll out drawers for bottom storage. Connected to the study is a quiet home office and a powder room. Red oak hardwood floors run throughout the study and office.
This light and airy home in Chadds Ford, PA, was a custom home renovation for long-time clients that included the installation of red oak hardwood floors, the master bedroom, master bathroom, two powder rooms, living room, dining room, study, foyer and staircase. remodel included the removal of an existing deck, replacing it with a beautiful flagstone patio. Each of these spaces feature custom, architectural millwork and custom built-in cabinetry or shelving. A special showcase piece is the continuous, millwork throughout the 3-story staircase. Inspiration for a large contemporary brown two-story mixed siding house exterior remodel in Calgary with a shed roof

We choose to highlight this project because even though it is a more traditional design style its light neutral color palette represents the beach lifestyle of the south bay. Our relationship with this family started when they attended one of our complimentary educational seminars to learn more about the design / build approach to remodeling. They had been working with an architect and were having trouble getting their vision to translate to the plans. They were looking to add on to their south Redondo home in a manner that would allow for seamless transition between their indoor and outdoor space. Design / Build ended up to be the perfect solution to their remodeling need.
Like many in the South Bay, the kitchen is the heart of the home to this family. The homeowners wanted a space that was elegant, warm and clean – an accurate representation of their tastes and style; a place to host Sunday barbecues. The island countertop is natural quartz called Corteccia Leather Slab. A lively cream and blue green quartzite with striking linear striation, Corteccia slabs from Brazil have a special leather finish. Similar to honing, leathering a stone closes the pores, making it much less susceptible to staining and allowing for better performance. The leathered finish presents a unique texture while retaining the stone’s natural color. Since the island was such a rock star we were challenged to find its perfect understated compliment for the perimeter countertops. We selected a polished slab of Madre Perla; a classic natural quartzite. Not only are the colors complimentary but the leather and polished textures play off each other nicely. The rest of the kitchen design fell into place from there.

A direct visual relationship with the city is embraced in the project by orienting the volumes parallel to San Francisco’s skyline, modifying the building facade to remove a faux mansard, and increasing aperture sizes. Views framed on the main level by the wood figure transform into an open view on the penthouse as a large aperture opens completely to dissolve the relationship between interior and exterior.

This perfect condition Restad & Relling Sofa is what launched our relationship with our local Homesteez source where we found some of the most delicious furnishings and accessories for our client.
