Several walls were removed to create this gorgeous open plan. The laundry was in the back corner by the bay window where ovens are currently located. The laundry was relocated to the front of the house where they had an unused formal sitting room. The laundry is now inside the walk in HIDDEN pantry that is concealed by cabinet doors. The large island is an incredible work surface and social gathering area. The cabinets are Wellborn's shaker door style with Glacier on the perimeter and Shadow Charcoal for the hood and island. This turned out to be one of my favorite projects of all time! Great clients to work with.

Challenges of a Small Kitchen. "How can we add a dishwasher and increase storage to our already small kitchen?" A good question for sure. We tucked the refrigerator into what had been a hall closet, encorporated a neat rolling cabinet/cutting board 'under' the new (handmade by owner) oak table, replaced a window into a new place, removed an space wasting unused brick chimney, strategically added many storage cabinets and removed bearing walls. The countertops are a combination of soapstone and Quartzite. We even squeezed in the "small but pretty" farm sink! The new design achieved all of this by the removal of structural walls and a closet, enlarging the living room entry, and pulling space from an unused dining room. The new design transformed the dated dysfunctional first floor into a dream-worthy entertainment space.

The projector was removed from the fireplace and the large video screen on the opposite wall was eliminated. A beautiful home theater was created in an unused upstairs bedroom and enlarged through re-purposing space from the attic and other areas.

These homeowners decided to turn their ski home into a full-time home only to find that what was perfect as a vacation home, didn't function well for year-round living. In the master bathroom an unused tub was removed to make room for a larger vanity with storage. Using the same large format tiles on the floor and the walls provide the desired spa-like feel to the space. Floor to ceiling cabinets provide loads of storage for this kosher kitchen. Two dishwashers, two utensil drawers, a divided sink and two ovens are also included so that meat and dairy could be kept separated.

This is a first floor remodel of a single family home in Castle Pines Colorado. Homeowner resides in Cave Creek Arizona and this was there summer home. We were able to accomplish this remodel over the winter months while the homeowner was away limiting the headache of living through a construction zone. As you can see we eliminated an unused dining space and replaced that with a walk in pantry and overall larger kitchen footprint. Then we removed the kneewall in the great room and replaced with railings and spindles. Included are before, during and after photos of the project.
