We present a conceptual design for a residential complex in Sukošan, designed to meet investor requirements for maximizing the number of residential units in a given space, while ensuring privacy and exceptional sea views for each unit. Send inquiry Inspired by organic forms, we opted for slightly rounded triangular modules, each of which represents a single residential unit. With the innovative rotation of the modules around a vertical circular axis, which ends with a glazed section on the roof – a skylight – bringing natural light into the interior spaces. The facades are dynamically shaped with an alternation of wooden and glass surfaces, which ensured privacy, but also openness to common areas. The settlement consists of six residential units located in the heart of Sukošan, right next to the sea, and represents a refreshing departure from the usual generic housing solutions. With organic forms, we have achieved a close connection with nature, and greenery is richly integrated into the architectural fabric, making this project a unique combination of modern design and natural harmony. The Fisher-Bliss House is a unique historic home overlooking Edgartown harbor. Working with Historic New England, the project was designed by Patrick Ahearn, Architects Inc. The project combined extensive renovation with careful historic preservation and restoration of original detail. The skillfully designed and integrated architectural plan supports new bathrooms, a state of the art kitchen, updated mechanical systems, and new landscaping that blends seamlessly with the architecture and character of the area and homes of this period. TBI managed the project as the Owners' Representative.

The Zoclo ceramic wall tiles are part of the Bunker family of tiles and represent the industrial chic style. These tiles simulate the look of elements commonly found in an industrial setting like concrete, wood and rusted metal. The Zoclo Dintel-4 Gris tiles simulate the look of concrete with a hand painted floral design. The Zoclo Gris tiles simulate the look of concrete.

The IL-1 Beta table was a unique and personalized birthday gift for renowned scientist Charles DInarello. We were commissioned to build a custom gift to represent three defining elements of his life; the refining of IL-1 Beta, one of his first monumental scientific achievements; his love of gardening and outdoor living spaces; and his enthusiasm for entertaining guests and fitting as many people around his table as possible (both figuratively and literally). We combined these three defining elements, and designed an outdoor table, a courtyard centerpiece, that would represent IL-1 Beta and enhance the scientist’s garden parties. One of the most important and challenging design aspects of the IL-1Beta table were the pedestal legs. The recipient of this beautiful gift, Dr. Dinarello, loves entertaining guests, introducing strangers, and encouraging conversation, so we designed a table that could sit many and then add more. The pedestals are each composed of seven pieces of wood that had to be assembled in a precise order for strength, stability and beauty. The table stands delicately with just the tips of the pedestal legs touching the ground, like a couple mid-waltz, poised and strong and light on the dance floor.

Depending on which version of the story you like best, the hero narrowed, widened, or created (by using his superhuman strength as he smashed through the obstructing mountain) the Strait of Gibraltar, linking the Mediterranean sea to the Atlantic Ocean, and the resulting two promontories on either side have been called - well, you know - ever since. The image has inspired numerous designs, including the coat of arms of Spain (you can still admire the two columns, originally the impressa of Charles I (the Holy Roman emperor), on the wall in Seville's city hall. According to some chroniclers, the dollar sign may have been modeled on that design as well. Some decors require interior doors that symbolize strength in order to create harmony, and this particular interior door model might just be the answer.
