Located in the Cornfield Point area of Old Saybrook along Long Island Sound, this project brought a classic, yet forgotten beach house back to life. Through a little detective work and some creative ingenuity, we restored and enhanced the exterior to it’s former glory and transformed the interior to a highly efficient and functional home all the while uplifting its quaint cottage charm. On the exterior, we recreated a wonderful, airy front porch with cozy bench seats that look out to the water. The white cedar shingle siding is pre-bleached with a subtle flair at the bottom and a delicate break at mid-elevation. The asphalt shingles are not only beautifully matched with the siding, but offer superior reflective qualities to dissipate the heat of the summer sun. On the interior, we joined the front seasonal porch with the family room to form a larger, open living and dining space with paneled walls and ceilings anchored by the original round stone fireplace. In the rear, we carefully crafted a galley kitchen and laundry space with an adjacent first floor master suite. The diminutive house and property posed multiple practical and regulatory challenges which were overcome by a strong team effort, due diligence, and a commitment to the process.

This charming farmhouse sits atop a grassy hill overlooking a serene Connecticut River Estuary. The new design reformulated the first floor plan making it much more functional and visually exciting. It encompassed the reorganization of multiple spaces including the Mudroom, Kitchen, Dining Room, Family Room, Sun Room, Laundry, Bathroom, and Master Closet. The design also added, deleted, and relocated windows and French doors to greatly enhance exterior views, draw in more natural light, and seamlessly upgrade the articulation of exterior elevations. Improvements to the plumbing and mechanical systems were also made. The overall feeling is both sophisticated and yet very much down to earth.

We The People ConstructionThis project represents a comprehensive kitchen overhaul and whole-house flooring renovation, transforming the space from outdated to a contemporary, refreshed look.
The primary focus of the Modern Kitchen Makeover was the kitchen, which saw significant updates. We replaced all the cabinet doors with a modern white look, instantly brightening and modernizing the space. The outdated granite countertop was replaced with a marble countertop, introducing a touch of luxury and elegance to the kitchen. The natural veins and patterns of the marble make each piece unique, adding a layer of sophistication to the area.
A new counter was added in the center of the kitchen, enhancing its functionality and providing additional workspace. This island serves as a central gathering point, encouraging family interactions during meal preparations.
The sink was updated to a stainless steel model, providing a sleek look and durability. To complete the kitchen's new appearance, a stainless steel range hood was installed above the stove, tying in with the sink and adding to the overall modern aesthetic.
Beyond the kitchen, we replaced all flooring in the house to ensure a consistent and updated look throughout. The staircase also received attention, being fully revamped to match the new flooring.

Tejjy Inc.We are excited to announce the new feather in our cap. Tejjy Inc.'s latest government project- partnering with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Canine Training Center. This project involved the detailed scanning of the facility along with newly deployed HVAC design.
Our brief was to provide an accurate and precise detailed as-built model of the existing Canine Training Center of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This was needed to plan and execute the renovation of the facility and to ensure functional HVAC system across the structure.
Our challenge was to ensure minimal disturbance, as the training facility was fully functional, and activities were ongoing. To tackle this our expert team scheduled scanning and renovation processes and achieved minimal disruptions.
Our skilled professional workforce utilized advanced Leica 3D Laser scanning to reality capture precise measurements of the existing structure. The precise point cloud data collected during our non-invasive scanning process was converted into an as-built 3D model. We crafted a Revit model with LOD 300 representing the current geometry of the training center.
These accurate deliverables provided by Tejjy enabled the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to efficiently plan and execute the HVAC renovations. Tejjy's advanced 3D laser scanning services aided in magnifying the facility's comfort and operational efficiency.

We painted the IKEA cabinets in Benjamin Moore "Backwoods", a rich deep green. If you check out the "Before" photos, you'll see how the homeowner removed the dated backsplash tile and the upper cabinets. We also love the kitchen island with the graphic tile and the waterfall countertop.
