Bedroom - transitional bedroom idea in Boston

Getting every detail right was critical to the success of this project. The brick was carefully matched to the house brick. The color of the precast column caps and the ball and finial details was selected to blend with the custom mortar color used on the home. There are no shortcuts.

Sometimes less is more. We could have done a huge brick courtyard with lots of columns, but that didn't fit the house or the clients. Creating a lawn "courtyard" anchored with brick piers was all we needed to do.

When we started, landscape beds were shoved right up against the front walk, somehow making the approach to a large home on 25 acres feel claustrophobic. Bringing the lawn right up to the walkway and creating a large grassy "courtyard" feels both expansive and comfortably enclosed.
