Kelly: “Really all I changed was the wall design. They had initially done a lot more formal, less wood with more intricate designs and I never liked it. I felt terrible about it but then that episode of Fixer Upper came on and it was like Kismet. That’s it, ship lap everywhere.”

Homeowner had a very tight space which prevented any furniture or other items from getting into the basement. We tore out the existing railing and rebuilt a new oak railing with a removable system - the railing itself is one unit and can be removed and reinstalled with just nine screws. This new system will allow large furniture and other basement play things to be moved up and down the stairs without having to gut the stair railing.

This modern beach front home needed a landscape to compliment its clean, crisp style. We were able to provide ample off street parking without creating a dull expanse of concrete. While an assortment of grasses and other low maintenance plants that thrive in this seaside environment help to enhance the sense of place.

Staircase - large traditional wooden spiral staircase idea in Birmingham with wooden risers

Originally, the exterior of the Napa ranch residence was a standard knocked down stucco finish. We covered over the entire exterior of the house with a natural plaster product that has been made in Italy for centuries, known as Rialto or Vero. This product is a combination of slaked lime mixed with 60% reconstituted crushed marble dust. Quarried from the legendary Carrara marble mines. The finish itself is a vertically combed striated texture embedded into the plaster. While it cures, a transparent group of patinas are applied to the stone-like plaster substance to create a look of an aged villa.
