Conceptually the Clark Street remodel began with an idea of creating a new entry. The existing home foyer was non-existent and cramped with the back of the stair abutting the front door. By defining an exterior point of entry and creating a radius interior stair, the home instantly opens up and becomes more inviting. From there, further connections to the exterior were made through large sliding doors and a redesigned exterior deck. Sited on a forested hillside overlooking the city and Lake, this Northwest style craftsman mountain home has a matching detached Garage with apartment above. Natural landscaping and stamped concrete patios provide nice outdoor living spaces. Cedar siding is complemented by rusted corrugated wainscot and roofing , which help protect the exterior from harsh North Idaho winters. Native materials, timber accents and exposed rafters add to the rustic charm and curb appeal.

These new homeowners fell in love with this home's location and size, but weren't thrilled about it's dated exterior. They approached us with the idea of turning this 1980's contemporary home into a Modern Farmhouse aesthetic, complete with white board and batten siding, a new front porch addition, a new roof deck addition, as well as enlarging the current garage. New windows throughout, new metal roofing, exposed rafter tails and new siding throughout completed the exterior renovation.
