Clark Street Before/AfterMediterranean Exterior, San Diego

Conceptually the Clark Street remodel began with an idea of creating a new entry. The existing home foyer was non-existent and cramped with the back of the stair abutting the front door. By defining an exterior point of entry and creating a radius interior stair, the home instantly opens up and becomes more inviting. From there, further connections to the exterior were made through large sliding doors and a redesigned exterior deck. Taking advantage of the cool coastal climate, this connection to the exterior is natural and seamless

Looking for a dark contrasting trim color for our light stucco home. Love this color choice! Can you tell me the trim color you chose? Is it black or a very dark bronze / brown?

Thank you for your question, the door and window frames are a dark bronze color while the wood accents are a dark brown stain.

Thank you for your question. The exterior finish is an integral color stucco done in a hand troweled, Santa Barbara finish and the color is a custom blend. The manufacturer is Expo stucco.

Thank-you for providing the information. Kindly advice if the custom blend made from the three colors mentioned above snowbound, agreeable gray, mega greige? Any other information or suggestion you can give will be very helpful.

Is this color similar to wenge on wood? Or what's the roof's wood color? Thank you very much

Thank you for your question. The tile walk is a travertine tile set in mortar.

  • lafonz

Do you know which travertine and where it can be purchased or who makes it?

Thank you for your question. We did not select the outdoor furniture, those were items directly procured by the owner.

Hello and thank you for your question. While each project is different and therefore would have variations in construction cost, a project of this scale and scope would start at $400 - $500,000. Obviously this number can vary depending on geographic location, types of materials used, and condition of the existing home. However for beginning budgeting purpose, this would be a good starting point.

Thank you for your question. The lighting was selected by the owner from Black Whale Lighting in Encinitas, CA. I do not recall the manufacturer.

Thank you for your question, the stucco is a custom color done by Expo stucco products. The finish is a smooth troweled Santa Barbara finish.
