This 1300 square foot home built in the 60's got a new lease on life after this full remodel took it from dark and dated to bright, fresh and functional. Hallways were widened and used as storage corridors and looked at as a continuation of the space, in order to give each room a more spacious feel. The homeowners love of blue was used tastefully, to inspire the concept of the kitchen. Standard euro-style cabinetry was given a custom inset look with the application of recessed crown and light rail. 3 different styles of cabinet pulls were mixed beautifully, to style up the cabinets even more. This remodel was packed with functional details, the dining table even doubles as a game table for boys night!

The renovation of this town home included expansion of this sitting room to encompass an existing patio space. The overhang of the roof over this patio made for a dark space initially. In the renovation, sliding glass doors and a stone patio were added to open up the views, increase natural light, and expand the floor space in this area of the home, adjacent to the Living Room and fireplace.

This family room went from ultra shabby to super chic! Before the renovation the floors were a worn, dated parquet. We replaced the parquet flooring with a warm chocolate glazed birch hardwood. The fireplace surround was a dreary white painted brick which we refaced with a copper metallic porcelain tile. The preexisting built-ins were completely demolished as they were oversized and out of date. We designed more contemporary and functional custom built-ins for the space, adding some square footage to the room as well. The modern farmhouse great room is a stunning gathering space that combines rustic charm with contemporary elegance. A grand stone fireplace serves as the focal point, its textured surface adding warmth and natural beauty to the room. Above, coffered ceilings with black accents create architectural interest, adding depth and a touch of modern sophistication. The room is finished with plush seating, soft textiles, and farmhouse-inspired decor, perfectly balanced with black light fixtures and trim details that add contrast and polish. Large windows invite abundant natural light, enhancing the inviting, open atmosphere. This space effortlessly blends comfort with style, making it ideal for family gatherings and entertaining.

Ample storage and function were an important feature for the homeowner. Beth worked in unison with the contractor to design a custom hanging, pull-out system. The functional shelf glides out when needed, and stores neatly away when not in use. The contractor also installed a hanging rod above the washer and dryer. You can never have too much hanging space! Beth purchased mesh laundry baskets on wheels to alleviate the musty smell of dirty laundry, and a broom closet for cleaning items. There is even a cozy little nook for the family dog.

From movie watching to video games, this room is a multi-functional space where patterns aren't afraid to coexist.

Kowalske Kitchen & Bath was the remodeling contractor for this beautiful Waukesha first floor remodel. The homeowners recently purchased the home and wanted to immediately update the space. The old kitchen was outdated and closed off from the great room. The goal was to design an open-concept space for hosting family and friends. LAYOUT The first step was to remove the awkward dining room walls. This made the room feel large and open. We tucked the refrigerator into a wall of cabinets so it didn’t impose. Seating at the island and peninsula makes the kitchen very versatile. DESIGN We created an elegant entertaining space to take advantage of the lake view. The Waukesha homeowners wanted a contemporary design with neutral colors and finishes. They chose soft gray lower cabinets and white upper cabinets. We added texture with wood accents and a herringbone marble backsplash tile. The desk area features a walnut butcher block countertop. We also used walnut for the open shelving, detail on the hood and the legs on the island. CUSTOM CABINETRY Frameless custom cabinets maximize storage in this Waukesha kitchen. The upper cabinets have hidden light rail molding. Angled plug molding eliminates outlets on the backsplash. Drawers in the lower cabinets allow for excellent storage. The cooktop has a functioning top drawer with a hidden apron to hide the guts of the cooktop. The clients also asked for a home office desk area and pantry cabinet.

The Aerius - Modern Craftsman in Ridgefield Washington by Cascade West Development Inc. Upon opening the 8ft tall door and entering the foyer an immediate display of light, color and energy is presented to us in the form of 13ft coffered ceilings, abundant natural lighting and an ornate glass chandelier. Beckoning across the hall an entrance to the Great Room is beset by the Master Suite, the Den, a central stairway to the Upper Level and a passageway to the 4-bay Garage and Guest Bedroom with attached bath. Advancement to the Great Room reveals massive, built-in vertical storage, a vast area for all manner of social interactions and a bountiful showcase of the forest scenery that allows the natural splendor of the outside in. The sleek corner-kitchen is composed with elevated countertops. These additional 4in create the perfect fit for our larger-than-life homeowner and make stooping and drooping a distant memory. The comfortable kitchen creates no spatial divide and easily transitions to the sun-drenched dining nook, complete with overhead coffered-beam ceiling. This trifecta of function, form and flow accommodates all shapes and sizes and allows any number of events to be hosted here. On the rare occasion more room is needed, the sliding glass doors can be opened allowing an out-pour of activity. Almost doubling the square-footage and extending the Great Room into the arboreous locale is sure to guarantee long nights out under the stars. Inspiration for a mid-sized timeless girl carpeted and white floor kids' room remodel in Phoenix with gray walls

Already a beauty, this classic Edwardian had a few open opportunities for transformation when we came along. Our clients had a vision of what they wanted for their space and we were able to bring it all to life. First up - transform the ignored Powder Bathroom into a showstopper. In collaboration with decorative artists, we created a dramatic and moody moment while incorporating the home's traditional elements and mixing in contemporary silhouettes. Next on the list, we reimagined a sitting room off the heart of the home to a more functional, comfortable, and inviting space. The result was a handsome Den with custom built-in bookcases to showcase family photos and signature reading as well three times the seating capacity than before. Now our clients have a space comfortable enough to watch football and classy enough to host a whiskey tasting. We rounded out this project with a bit of sprucing in the Foyer and Stairway. A favorite being the alluring bordeaux bench fitted just right to fit in a niche by the stairs. Perfect place to perch and admire our client's captivating art collection.

This 1912 traditional style house sits on the edge of Cheesman Park with four levels that needed updating to better suit the young family’s needs. A custom wine room was constructed on the lower level to accommodate an area for entertaining guests. The main level was divided into a smaller family room area with a double door opening into the formal living room. The kitchen and butler’s pantry were combined and remodeled for better function. The second level master bathroom was relocated and created out of an adjacent bedroom, incorporating an existing fireplace and Juliet balcony that looks out to the park. A new staircase was constructed on the third level as a continuation of the grand staircase in the center of the house. A gathering and play space opens off the stairs and connects to the third-floor deck. A Jill & Jill bathroom remodel was constructed between the girls’ rooms.

In this charming laundry room remodel, the original porch has been transformed into a stylish and functional space. The room features a beautiful peg rail and a custom brass rail, adding a touch of elegance. Shaker cabinets provide ample storage, while the apron front sink, paired with a wall-mounted bridge-style polished nickel faucet, offers both practicality and sophistication. The custom Greek key heritage mosaic tile, in a sunny gold and white pattern, introduces a vibrant splash of color and pattern. Original exposed siding adds a rustic touch, enhancing the room’s unique character and warmth.
