The Master bedroom drapery was designed to create the feeling of old world opulence. The base fabric is a woven patterned chenille, trimmed with silk velvet and silk tassels. An elaborate large silk tassel is used as a tie back to accentuate the trim and create the perfect puddle! Silk chiffon sheers in a butter cream color complete the treatment!

This spacious home in North Vancouver's Deep Cove community had been built and decorated just over 20 years ago and was in need of updating. Our clients who are empty nesters, spend much of their time in the kitchen and family room so we focused on these spaces keeping in mind that the more formal spaces on the main floor will follow in a few years time. For the most part the layout of their kitchen worked well for them so our role was to tweak the kitchen and family room furniture layout and to select updated finishes and furnishings. Since this home transformation is not happening all at once, we purposefully selected classic finishes, like antique brass hardware, that will tie in with the rest of the home's decor until it can be updated. The resulting refresh stays true to the original feel of the house while giving it a clean, updated look.

In this kitchen we updated the existing cabinetry with new Top Knobs Edwardian Lund Pulls & Knobs. A Distressed Medallion Designer Maple Island in Black Heirloom with caffe glaze was added to accent the room. Instead of a typical sink an undermount 4’ Galley workstation was installed. Accessories for the Galley included an upper tier cutting board, an 11” bowl, an 11” colander, 1 lower tier platform with cutout for bowl/colander, 1 lower tier platform and a galley drain rack. For the faucet, we installed a new Delta Pilar Single Handle Pull Down faucet with Touch 20 Technology in brushed nickel and a drinking water faucet. A new 3cm Cambria Quartz countertop in Canterbury color was installed. The backsplash is 4x4 San Mateo honed tumbled tile with San Mateo pencil molding and San Mateo 2x2 rope border behind the range accented with 1x1 Sonoma glass tiles in Hemp color.

On the countertops Dupont Corian Private Collection in Witch Hazel with a 4” high backsplash behind the sink areas and two Toto Dartmouth undermount lavatory sinks in Sedona Beige accented with Delta Dryden two handle wide spread faucets and Roman Tub with handshower in Champagne Bronze and a Baci Vanity Rectangular mirror. Also installed was a Bain Ultra Inua Thermomasseur tub 66x36 in Biscuit. A custom frameless shower enclosure with Brushed Bronze hardware. In the shower, Ottomano Ivory 6x6 naturale tile was used in the border in the shower flanked by Questch Dorset anti bronze rope liner. For the shower floor Ottomano Ivory 2x2 mosaic and Ottomano 12x24 naturale tile was installed. And installed on the floor and tub surround was Ottomano Ivory 18x18 naturale.

A historic, rambling country estate gets a new kitchen, butler's pantry, bar, built-in desk and built-in TV cabinet. Elegant finishes and a few rustic touches help to fit this project into the original 1710 setting. Cabinetry is a beaded inset door in a mix of a hand glazed white stained finish and a furniture-type of burnished finish that is distressed but still has a sheen to it. The main countertops are honed Taj Mahal quartzite. The desk top matches the island cabinetry and the bar top is copper which has a lovely patina to it. The kitchen features a flush inset Sub Zero installation and a flush inset Wolf wall oven installation. The hood is a custom stainless piece with brass strapping. The glass door cabinets feature light roping that tucks in behind the face frames. The whole project is exquisitely decorated and accessorized.
