Furthering her plan to enhance the room's architecture, Suzanne turned one corner of the kitchen into a cheery dining area with an L-shaped built-in bench that mimics the cabinetry. To keep the dining nook cozy (not restaurant-like) she surrounded the metal bistro table with slipcovered armchairs and hung a sparkly chandelier above. This Rotator Rod customer wanted to expand the shower space in their guest bathroom without knocking down walls or losing any of their already small bathroom space. The bathroom felt uncomfortably small with its old, straight shower rod but is not used very frequently. The customer was looking for a quick and cost effective way to save space for holiday guests. The Rotator Rod is the original curved shower rod that rotates. It's curved design instantly gives you a luxuriously large shower like in all the major hotels. After showering, simply flip the Rotator Rod shower rod into the tub -- and out of your way -- while you use the rest of the bathroom! The Rotator Rod is the only bathroom invention that expands shower space by 33% without forfeiting any bathroom space. In this photograph, the Rotator Rod flipped out, like a traditional curved shower rod. This photo helps illustrate how much shower space -- and bathroom space -- you gain with the original curved shower rod that rotates! White the Rotator Rod is in the "out" position, the shower curtain in this small guest bathroom is too close to the toilet. Can you imagine your friends and family trying to use the restroom with a damp shower curtain constantly clinging to them?! This master bath features a black granite countertop with two sinks facing each other. A two sided mirror hangs suspended between the sinks. The tile used is a wonderful series from American Olean called St. Germain. What is super nice about this tile is not only its good looks and affordable price, but the fact that it comes in a variety of useful sizes. On the floor I specified 12x12" tile, while the tub/shower wall was done in 6x24" tile, with accent rows of 1x2" mosaic. The mosaic was repeated on the tub front and shower floor. What gives the tile its contemporary styling is the way it was layed in stacks, with minimal design detailing. Simplicity is key for that modern look. The same tile could take on a more traditional look if it were layed differently. The tile is also available in 12 x 24" sizing, a size that has become very popular. Note that the large window looking out on the backyard has frosted glass on the lower half for, not only for privacy, but to allow the owners to view the sky. Instant weather report! Pendant lights worked perfectly on either size of the hanging mirrors.
