Seasonal container changeovers make such a great difference in landscapes. This driveway planter is changed over three times a year. This summer planting really brightens up the driveway!

We set out to create a show-stopping display to make jaws drop. Sweeping beds at the entrance with drifts of agastache, Russian sage, and yarrow for a soft, textured backdrop. Then we layered in dense plantings of zinnias, snapdragons, angelonia, and splashes of orange cosmos to steal the show.

Inviting Nook

Rapoza Landscape A cobble edge divides the mulched play equipment area from the lawn and patio spaces. A stone firepit and paver patio is surrounded by catmint, grasses, coreopsis, russian sage and other sun loving plants. On the far end of the lawn, another cobble edge divides the vegetable garden from the lawn.

Access to the backyard is via a substantial bluestone walkway with wrought iron trellises adorned with new Clematis plants that are beginning to wind around the strong supports. Donald Wyman Crabapples, Boxwoods and a combination of Roses, Catmint, Russian Sage, Peonies, Geranium and Astilbe line the walkway in an undulating design that leads the visitor toward the home’s lake side.
