A very rustic tree house we built in Milroy, PA. The treehouse was framed used rough sawn hickory with rough milled pine siding and cedar post railings. By far the coolest part is the stair way leading up to the tree house. The treads are made of white oak with a cedar truck providing the support. A true woodsman's getaway.

Resting upon a 120-acre rural hillside, this 17,500 square-foot residence has unencumbered mountain views to the east, south and west. The exterior design palette for the public side is a more formal Tudor style of architecture, including intricate brick detailing; while the materials for the private side tend toward a more casual mountain-home style of architecture with a natural stone base and hand-cut wood siding. Primary living spaces and the master bedroom suite, are located on the main level, with guest accommodations on the upper floor of the main house and upper floor of the garage. The interior material palette was carefully chosen to match the stunning collection of antique furniture and artifacts, gathered from around the country. The stair and home were existing - contrasting color on home was switched from muddy brown to dark bronze, better matching the brick. Modern loft. Surfaces built into the new railing atop the stair create a functional work area with a fantastic view and clear shot to the play space below. A wall separating the master bedroom from the double height living space was replaced with a folding glass door to open the bedroom to the living space while still allowing for both visual and acoustical privacy.
