Inspiration for a modern porch remodel in Ottawa

The distinct spaces can be seen from this overhead view. The dining area is separated from the social space by three large containers on one side and from the fire pit by a low profile planting bed on the other side. This Birmingham Michigan condo was looking for a way to screen the traffic from Woodward Avenue. They wanted to keep the buffer natural but have it grow to become thick enough to filter out the light and noise. Since the site was some what shady and they wanted year round screening. We installed Nigra (dark green) Arborvitae. The will grow to form a living wall that will look beautiful year round and thrive under the canopy of the large evergreens surrounded by the existing ground cover. Our crew was very careful to not disturb either during the installation. Landforms Inc.

The outdoor dining room, sundeck and living room were added to the home, creating fantastic 3 season indoor-outdoor living. The dining and living room areas are roofed and screened with the sun deck area in between left open.

Light brown custom cedar screen walls provide privacy along the landscaped terrace and compliment the warm hues of the decking and provide the perfect backdrop for the floating wooden bench.
