Shortly after starting my firm in 1982 one of my neighbors in Historic Fourth Ward asked if I would design the renovation of a three story 1890's building in downtown Charlotte for use by his law firm. The building had been stripped of al of it's historic features and was finished with stucco. Due to the size of the project I worked in the offices of Reg Narmour. My first order of business was to create a three story lobby with a monumental stair. During the design process the Owner and i traveled to New York City and Connecticut in search of architectural elements for inside and out. There we found bronze doors and light fixtures, paneling from the 17th Century and countless other historic artifacts. By the time the renovation was complete I had renovated a two story walk up next door for my offices.

The shower floor was finished with small mosaic tile for proper drainage and slip resistance. Matching floor tile was installed throughout the bathroom for a seamless, clean look.
The design focuses on simplicity, clean lines, and a timeless finish. Every detail was completed with precision to ensure a high quality and long lasting result.

The most compact opening system from MilcasaStore has a self-explanatory name - COMPACK.
Interior doors are equipped with a pivoting and sliding mechanism that simultaneously solves 2 problems - saving space and creating a modern interior. When opened, each door leaf is folded in half and placed along the wall, occupying an area 2 times less than its own surface. This is convenient when furniture and decor items are located close to the opening.
Its undeniable advantages:
☑️ in the closed position does not lose sound insulation
☑️ does not reduce the light opening
☑️ moves smoothly and silently
☑️takes up 2 times less space in comparison with a conventional door
