When LiLu was called on by a long-time client to help remodel her kitchen in a charming 1930s St. Paul home, the Design Team knew the space needed to be expanded, lightened, and brightened. First they removed the wall separating the kitchen and dining room. A breakfast bar was added and the window seat was refreshed to offer more inviting places for people to mingle. Crown molding and recessed lighting were installed to create visual height. All the cabinets were painted a light gray, with bold pops of blue, orange, and even some indigo throughout. And yet what makes this kitchen a perfect fit for our home cook client are the storage spaces unique positioned throughout. From shelving above that houses our client’s many cookbooks, to the custom cabinets that hideaway appliances and cookware alike, every detail was considered when making this kitchen both useful and unique. ----- Project designed by Minneapolis interior design studio LiLu Interiors. Wall Control's 2in Handle Hanger (PN: 10-HH-3050) is a great pegboard accessory for hanging Mag Flashlights and anything else that has a large head and a smaller handle.

Siding & Windows Group installed James Hardie Premium Artisan Siding in ColorPlus Technology Color Iron Gray and Hardie Artisan Accent Trim in ColorPlus Technology Color Arctic White. Replaced Windows with Marvin Ultimate Wood Windows. Siding and Windows was installed on the rear addition located in Chicago, IL.

Custom gate was built wrong by the previous contractor. It was not built to withstand the La Jolla climate. It rotted quickly. So we removed the gate and rebuilt it from scratch. We applied two things to help protect this gate from future damage: 1. We epoxied the top edges. 2. We applied a metal drip edge on the top of the gate to resist moisture.

This Portland Zen Garden features two double gate sets to enter the serene back yard. The client chose our Asian Style Gate Latch and dummy handle for the gates. To top it all off, there’s a guest house for rent at the back of the property. Reservation, please?!
