Inspiration for a small transitional gender-neutral dark wood floor and brown floor reach-in closet remodel in Louisville with open cabinets and white cabinets

This hallway was part of a larger remodel of an attic space which included the hall, master bedroom, bathroom and nursery. Making the most of the sloping eave space, there is room for stacking, hanging and multiple drawer depths, very versatile storage. This previously unused attic space is now a sauna/yoga room. The left sauna wall follows the attic rafters down diagonally to allow a wider space for leg room on the twin sauna benches.

As with many closet projects, the challenge here was to maximize storage to accommodate a lot of storage in a limited space. In this case, the client was very tall and requested that the storage go to the ceiling. From a design perspective, the customer wanted a warm but modern look, so we went with dark wood accents, flat front-drawers and simple hardware.

Includes shower box with linear glass accent tile back and vertical glass accent band. Tile edges are finished with Schluter Jolly satin aluminum profile edge trim.
