Edge Construction

Edge completed a kitchen remodel for our house but it was much more than that. They fixed a leaking water problem that damaged the floors and basement below. They corrected the problem and went above and beyond to meet our many needs, change orders, and maximize the amount of possibilities for us and our growing family! We highly recommend Edge and their staff because they are great to work with and very impressed with the quality. Thank you Edge! Hope to work with you again in the future!

We had a really frustrating experience with Edge. They came in just below budget with their estimate and then when quotes came in 50% higher than they anticipated, they refused to give us a breakdown of what was costing what so we were not able to make an informed decision regarding what to eliminate from the scope of our project. We had significant communication issues with the designer, who did not seem to understand our vision and did not have any ideas or input beyond the inspiration photos we gave her. She was also slow in responding to all e-mails (average of one week between us contacting her and getting a response) and extremely slow with updates and scheduling walkthroughs, consults, etc. We ended up taking over some of these tasks and scheduling appointments ourselves. We chose Edge as we did not want to serve as our own contractor, but we ended up needing to prod the designer to get things done and/or do them ourselves. Edge did not catch that our original masonry fireplace would be complicated to update. The designer spend much of her time fine-tuning the design on the fireplace, surround, etc. Unfortunately, after we had spend a lot of time making decisions on the fireplace, she finally had the mason look at the photos and was told that removing the existing fireplace surround would be prohibitively expensive and/or impossible. Edge never consulted an architect or engineer on our project despite the fact that the primary change was to be the elimination of a load-bearing wall. As such, we did not receive a usable floorplan. The mock-up we received did not contain any measurements or other specifics we would need to take a plan to another builder to enact. We decided to end our relationship with Edge after three months of working with them and receiving no deliverables or timeline regarding when construction could begin. We asked for a refund on our $1500 design fee due to receiving no design deliverables and were told that Edge felt that fulfilled their side of the design agreement and would thus issue not refund. Would not recommend this company.

Our first project with Edge was a staircase facelift. Other contractors wouldn't touch our "double winder" nightmare, circa 1982. Edge did an amazing job bringing it into the 21st century. More recently, we had them update a 1/2 bath/laundry closet. Sparky found rodent damage in our wiring, and we needed more plumbing work than originally anticipated, but they took it in stride and we quickly got back on track. Thanks to Heather for suggesting a change in layout that didn't break the bank, but made a huge difference in how the space functions. Can't wait to work with them again - the kitchen is next!

We had Edge remodel our basement in 2017 (photos in the gallery). I was so impressed that when it came time to remodel our kitchen, it was an easy decision to have them do that project as well. Mike, Heather, and the Edge team are smart, creative problem solvers and bring great vision to each project. They always offer quality workmanship and materials without breaking the budget. This is one aspect of Edge I really appreciate - they’re on time, on budget, and execute in the way they promise. That’s not as common in this industry as it should be but these guys get all the basics right - and then some! Hoping to have them back soon to help us with our bathrooms next!

Very Positive Experience. Our plan was to move the laundry room upstairs. That plan quickly changed to adding an updated master bathroom and a master bedroom suite with a walk-in-closet. Luckily we found Edge Construction when we saw one of their work vans with the phrase on it “A new way to remodel”. When we called to get pricing and talk about the job they were very friendly and accommodating. They made the process seamless! Their pricing was competitive. The workers were prompt, polite and professional. They were very courteous and they were respectful of our home. They also did a great job of being tidy and cleaning up after themselves! At the end of the project the results are stunning, better than we anticipated. If you are looking to have any of your rooms remodeled then, by all means, call Edge Construction! You will not be disappointed!

We had Edge gut and remodel our kitchen. The entire process was great and the results are AMAZING!! Our only regret is we didn't do it much sooner. The staff are very professional and very talented. Project was competed in budget and on time.

Edge Construction was fantastic to work with! It's not easy to find a contractor with such keen attention to detail in their work. The crew was honest, respectful, and very talented in their trade. We are beyond pleased with how the project turned out!

The rehab went smoother than I could have imagined. I wanted to expand a master bathroom and Edge came in at the quoted price and finished a week early. Their team of electricians, plumbers & tilers were the best you could ask for. Heather designed the layout, chose the flooring, tile & color patterns and was beyond patient. We had not heard of Edge Construction before we met Mike at a Home Remodel Expo. Mike, the owner, was very personable, and after looking at reviews we decided to hire them to do our master bathroom en suite. Our designer named Heather was an integral part in making this bathroom come to life. I could call or text her anytime and she would be available to help with anything I needed. The lead carpenter, Kyle did absolutely flawless work. His craftsmanship and attention to detail was phenomenal. The quality of their work exceeded our expectations. The entire team was professional, approachable and very courteous. They were in our home alone and unsupervised a great deal of time and I never felt uncomfortable. Sure, there were some glitches along the way, but that is to be expected in a major remodeling project. Edge Construction made it right and made sure it was done to our satisfaction. As the project progressed we came to look at this company's staff as "temporary family." When they finally packed up the last day it was somewhat bittersweet. However, I know they will be back. I am sure I will have another remodeling project in the near future!

Mike and team did an amazing job with our basement remodel. We really appreciated how they took their time with us upfront to make sure we had a good design and plan in place. This avoided any suprises during the actual remodel. His crew is wonderful to work with and we truly enjoyed having them around the house during the work. The finished product is absolutely incredible and we receive compliments from everyone. We've really enjoyed the space and would definitely work with Edge Construction again in the future.

Mike and the entire Edge crew were a delight to work with. They were very professional, very kind and provided great quality and a reasonable price. Our new kitchen has transformed our entire home. Equally as important, the quote Edge gave us never fluctuated. We came in on budget and there was never a single conversation about overages, even when they went above and beyond to meet a few unplanned extras we requested.

Great job overall - very pleased with result. I wish I had a piece of the tile to help me pick out rugs for the bathroom. Had to go back 3 times for rugs that blend. Still not sure the colors are right. Small thing, but would have helped.
