In the original kitchen valuable counter space was taken up by small appliances. Out of the way of the main work zones, small appliances are now consolidated into one space and concealed behind bifold doors for easy access at countertop height.

This is the area where group meetings happen. We chose the colour blue because it is a calm colour. We wanted people to come into a place where they can feel relaxed as well as significantly different viz the dining area. This is an area for introspection and meditation and sharing. A quiet place.

The clients prefer bright pops of color, and bold geometric prints to add some excitement to their newly painted Family Room. After visiting their home with multiple fabrics, we settled on a cool, gray, textured fabric for their new sofa. Two wing chair accent the media wall, and are upholstered in the taupe and deep gray, geometric print. Accenting the sofa ad windows, are bold, bright prints and colors. This Family Room transitions from the open Kitchen which has been newly painted a bold teal. The Family Room will be painted a subtle, neutral gray like Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray (SW 7029).

The new basement is the ultimate multi-functional space. A bar, foosball table, dartboard, and glass garage door with direct access to the back provide endless entertainment for guests; a cozy seating area with a whiteboard and pop-up television is perfect for Mike's work training sessions (or relaxing!); and a small playhouse and fun zone offer endless possibilities for the family's son, James.
