There is little doubt as to the quality of work Brunelleschi Construction is capable of. For years, they have shown what they can do in both the residential and commercial spaces. From building new homes to renovating brownstones and other urban spaces, Brunelleschi has proven time and again they are very capable, and creative. But what has impressed us most is the people. Every encounter we have had with their staff has been pleasant and memorable. The company strives to educate while setting realistic expectations on the project, eliminating surprises down the road. That type of open honesty is always refreshing. From John and Anthony, to Alfonso and Melissa, we have always had great experiences with Bruncon. And we know that the next job we do with them will be as smooth as the last.

We have worked with Brunelleschi Construction on two projects with fantastic results in both cases. John and his team are very easy and enjoyable to work with, willing to consider materials they haven’t worked with before, and understand the benefits of a collaborative relationship between the owner, the architect, and the contractor. In both cases our role during construction was limited due to the distance of the projects from our office, but that didn’t prevent Brunelleschi Construction from making our designs a reality. We look forward to working with John and Brunelleschi again whenever the opportunity arises in the future and will recommend them to anyone in their neighborhood.

We were involved with Bruneleschi Construction in supplying them with a specialty bar sink, to be used one of their fantastic projects. In regard to price and features we regard this item as a hidden gem and they already knew all about it when they contacted us. Our impression was that of a design/build firm that was well aware of the many products available to their clients and their proper individual use and installation.

I hired Brunelleschi Construction to provide a full renovation of my kitchen and dining room. To be brief, everything came out perfectly! They installed new cabinets, gave us a great new backsplash, and rearranged the appliances to give us additional counterspace and more room to function in the kitchen. They opened up the walls between the kitchen and dining room to allow both rooms to feel more spacious. Instead of having the huge walls between the two rooms, the team installed columns which makes for a great design. Last but not least, they designed coffered ceilings, which does a fantastic job tying the room together. All in all, we couldn't be happier!

Brunelleschi Construction came to our home and provided a plan for enlarging our kitchen by combining it with the formal dining room. We went to their offices to discuss the potential project further and consider possible materials. They were clearly experienced, easy to work with, explained their choices well, and we were glad to have had the chance to meet and discuss options.

Brunelleschi Construction remodeled my basement and we could not be happier. They really listened to our specifications and were great to work with every step of the way! We would definitely have them back for our next remodel project!

My Wife and I wanted to expand our yard and Family room. John & Anthony came in with a design that blew us away. We could not imagine what was done with the space. There is more space now and our kids have an area to play. Going forward we no who we will call for our next project. JOHN & ANTHONY!!

I purchased a run down 4-unit building in Hoboken and Brunelleschi was one of 3 contractors recommended to me by Minervini Architects. The project was a total nightmare! It is normal for a construction project to go over budget by 10 or even 20 percent. I had just finished a 1M project in Washington DC. This was close to 100% over budget. Out of the excess 300,000+ maybe $60,000 were upgrades, the rest were weekly charges that had no rhyme or reason. In the middle of the project when it didn't resemble what it had been or what it would be I ran out of money and got approved for a construction loan by Wells Fargo, only to learn that one of the provisions in their contract is that they don't work with banks. A builder that doesn't work with banks, are you serious? I had to get a 250K personal loan! The basement unit was the most awful apt I have ever seen, thanks to their soffits protruding like arrows + it was dark. Thankfully (!!!) Sandy flooded the place, we were lucky to get money from Insurance and rebuilt a beautiful unit with a wonderful company.

The total transformation of my kitchen and bath by Brunelleschi is incredible. It's sleek, modern, functional and just plain beautiful ! Their attention to detail and high end finishing coupled with a team that was highly professional, attentive and easy to work with made the project less stressful. I'm still amazed everytime I see what they were able to achieve.

Having watched the Kitchen Cousins show on HGTV and since we were about to embark on an extensive renovation project for our home in New Jersey, I decided to enquire about using Brunelleschi since I liked what I saw on their show. Since they are also based out of New Jersey, I figured they could be a good fit for us. Although we also got a bid from another contractor in our area, I went with my gut and chose Brunelleschi and I'm so glad I did! Zach and the rest of the team fulfilled every aspect of my vision! It was uncanny how completely in synch we were right from the beginning! Since I was pretty hands-on, from a design perspective, I did quite a bit of research myself and had strong opinions on the various materials/selections that I wanted. I never got a "No, sorry, we can't do that" from them --- right down to the kitchen's "waterfall"-style glass island that I had them create for me. John, Anthony, Zach and the whole team were professional and courteous and a pleasure to work with. We would consider using them again in the future and are thrilled with our new spaces.

I am an original owner of a m650 flat unit on Montgomery Street in Jersey City. Unfortunately, I am very unimpressed with the way Brunelleschi handled dealing with my questions and normal concerns that any new homeowner would have when I originally bought my condo from them. Once they had me under contract, their attitude completely changed. After my personal negative experience, I honestly feel that the way Brunelleschi relates/communicates with people is extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend hiring them to do any construction or design project. They are very difficult people to deal with. Moving into a new home or hiring someone to renovate your existing home is very stressful in itself; the last thing a person needs during a period like this is having to work with difficult people.

The work that Brunelleschi Construction did in our home was amazing and changed the way we live in our home in a good way. Their attention to every detail and their honest desire to design a space that would meet all of the needs of our family was reflected in a spectacular finished product both indoors and out. They were a pleasure to work with and took a genuine interest in all of the input provided to them. I know that our family (and friends) will enjoy this space for many years to come. We highly recommend them and know you too will be pleased with their work.
