A client wanted a shabby chic sofa that could also be a bed, without a day bed look. An ironworker had several old Philadelpia gates; together we designed this sofa/bed. It was painted a beautiful Verdi green, fitted with a mattress and slip covered. We engaged a metal craftsman to make a shelf, coordinating the colors with the sofa fabric. The shelf holds an eclectic mix of accessories, from a star shaped mirror to a handmade wooden portrait of a woman with actual "bling" for her jewelry.
