This classic 1920's brick colonial home needed a new kitchen and updated first floor bath. A small addition to the back of the home was all that was needed to create a fresh new updated space while maintaining the original charm and scale of the home.

The kitchen area was a long, narrow space that was cut in the center by a right-angle peninsula which sat only two. By eliminating that and designing a new longer peninsula that angled out into the room, much was accomplished. It features a raised bar and can seat up to four. All existing honey oak woodwork and flooring was refinished in a warm, lighter taupe color. The matte finish, River White wire brushed granite with gemstone garnets pair well with the gray and white backsplash tile. White Shaker style cabinetry with rollouts and a buffet cabinet with an upper cabinet with reeded glass provide plenty of storage. The result is a modern color palette and plenty of room for the homeowners and their guests to move about and mingle.
