This sitting room off of the kitchen became the main hangout space for family, friends and more for our clients located in Birmingham, MI. Completed in September of 2023, the space needed to provide as much seating and flexibility as possible for people to gather. We also needed to maintain access to the adjacent patio. Previously used as a breakfast nook, this small sunroom contained oversized and bulky furniture along its walls.
To reinvent this space, we added a custom sofa, two lounge chairs, and two ottomans that could be re-arranged for various uses. During the summer months, when circulation is needed at the patio doorway, the accent chairs fit perfectly along the opposite wall and smaller, moveable ottomans are in place at the doorwall. When not in use, the ottomans tuck away in our custom designed coffee table and keep this space flexible and functional. The individually placed chairs provided symmetry and elegance along either side of the sofa.
Our large central cocktail table acts as an additional place to set out food or dine over. Layered lighting provides options for daytime use as well as evening reading. And finally, the custom area rug anchors and defines the space and holds together this elevated and flexible sunroom. The result is both beautiful and functional for year round use!

The Nordic Round End Table, by Convenience Concepts makes a great accent piece for any contemporary home. Featuring a black powder coated metal frame for style and durability. The ventilated criss cross design allows access to the bottom shelf where you can display your collectibles in style. The decorative accent hardware and shell design feet adds the finishing touch that will make this a timeless piece in your home.

These clients were looking for a contemporary dining space to seat 8. We commissioned a custom made 72" round dining table with an X-base. The chairs are covered in Sunbrella fabric so there is no need to worry about spills. Custom artwork, drapes, lighting, accessories, and wainscoting finished off the space.

We expanded a formerly dark, small, outdated kitchen and made it open, bright and airy. The glass doors and open plate rack of the kitchen cabinets add depth, color and geometry to the room. The door knobs and cabinet hardware are round simple forms, a detail that echoes the round table and art form shapes on the walls.

Playful use of scale works across this compact space. Can’t place a large piece of furniture in a small space? Heck, why not?
The scale of the furniture keeps the space from feeling cluttered. Use of a massive mirror creates depth and reflects light.

The Meryton Table is inspired by French country kitchens of the past. The table features a sturdy planked top and turned legs.
Tabletop is available in our classic Espresso or Distressed White finish. Optional hammered steel corner brackets in Black or Copper can be added. Light assembly required (comes assembled for local pickup).
All of our tables are handcrafted from solid wood in our woodworking shop in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Our furniture is finished with a multi-step process of distressing and hand-applying varnish to give each piece the look of a cherished antique. Each of our works showcase the natural characteristics of wood, including variations in color, mineral streaks, knots and burls. In addition, our finishing process highlights the organic texture of wood with its pores, ridges, slits and grooves; each piece is a tactile work of art that is truly meant to be appreciated by touch. Every decorative bracket is made from steel, hand-cut and meticulously hammered to create a one-of-a-kind rustic accent for our wood furniture.

The clients approached us to design them a more modern and organic refuge for their second home on the Texas Coast. They did not want the traditional coastal look but rather a clean look that would accentuate the amazing outdoor view. They frequently entertain and wanted a gathering space as well as functional comfortable bedrooms for their quests. The main areas were gutted and the transformation was everything they hoped for......
