Clean and Modern Quartz Countertops For the countertops, we opted for sleek and pristine white quartz. Not only do these countertops create a clean and modern aesthetic, but they also offer durability and easy maintenance – ideal for a busy kitchen. A Layout Transformation Perhaps the most significant change in this kitchen remodeling project was the complete layout transformation. We reimagined the space to maximize functionality and create an open concept. This involved the removal of a load-bearing wall at the kitchen's front, which was a significant structural challenge that we were more than prepared to tackle. Reconfigured Appliances and a New Island To enhance convenience and efficiency, we rearranged all the kitchen appliances into a more comfortable and user-friendly layout. The centerpiece of the kitchen is the new island, which not only serves as a practical workspace but also as a hub for socializing and entertaining and having the microwave drawer style in the island. Open Concept Living By removing the load-bearing wall, we've seamlessly connected the kitchen with the adjoining living areas, creating an open and inviting atmosphere. This open concept design not only enhances the flow of natural light but also encourages interactions among family members and guests. The Shirvanian Youth Center remodel, championed by nonprofit Engineer Armenia, reimagines the center’s outdoor area as a flexible community space for youth gathering, recreation, learning, and everyday use. Conceived as an extension of the center itself, the courtyard is organized into purposeful zones that support both structured programming and informal interaction. Stepped seating creates an amphitheater-style setting for presentations, performances, and group gathering, while lunch and picnic areas encourage daily use and shared meals. A retractable shade structure improves comfort throughout the day, and a central fire pit establishes a natural focal point for connection and community. Together, these elements shape a multi-use outdoor environment designed for children, teens, families, and nonprofit programming. Grounded in flexibility, durability, and human-centered planning, the design creates a welcoming setting for activity, social engagement, and belonging. The result is a thoughtful community-centered courtyard that reinforces the youth center’s role as a place for gathering, learning, and recreation.

Depending on your kitchen layout, island sinks can save you space and functionality. One of the main reasons for the main sink in the island is how much time you spend at the sink. If you tend to socialize more in the kitchen while doing tasks, island sinks may be for you! Since this was a family home reno project, a ton of interaction will take place in this area! We made sure to create an inviting space along with Etch Design Group. There was a full gut of the kitchen. This included all cabinetry, countertops, and backsplash. The main focus in this kitchen part of the reno was moving the sink location from the wall to the newly installed island. The new layout included new cabinets painted a beautiful shade of timeless white, on top of those polished Statuario quartz countertops with light veining were installed. These new custom cabinets were customized to the homeowners' specifications for her kitchenware items. Electrically, we installed 6 new LED recessed canned lights and added new outlets to the island to add more lighting in the home.

The Petronio Residency Center at Crow’s Nest is visionary choreographer and artistic director Stephen Petronio’s latest venture. http://petron.io/prc/ The potager is conceived to feed and engage resident artists who are on site for creative research. A buffet supports more elaborate meals. Sculptural pendants and niches that accentuate horizontal continuity favor interaction between the dining and flexible lounge areas. Reimagined with durable materials, the bathrooms embrace efficiency and elegance. Cabinetry is integrated around the planes of countertops and insets carried across the room. Dark wood and textured accents punctuate the white surfaces, grounding the spaces in tactile warmth. The bedrooms, designed for adaptability, offer separable sleeping arrangements, peaceful workspaces, and versatile wardrobe solutions. This complete structural makeover of a two-story 1978 penthouse sought to integrate the kitchen and social area, creating an open layout allowing houseguests to interact more fluidly, while taking advantage of the natural light afforded by a reconfigured, double-height view of Miami’s Biscayne Bay. Materials were chosen to lend richness and texture to the space, defining proportions and ratios, with an emphasis on clean, compelling lines to complement the clients’ entertaining objectives while embodying a warmer, “Modern Eclectic Contemporary” feel. Located in the sophisticated yet charming Jackson Square neighborhood of San Francisco, this office inhabits a building that was built in 1907. We used industrial elements brick, glass, steel, wood, brass, and painted concrete, opting for simplicity and utility over adornment. In the same spirit of industrial honesty, plumbing pipes, data, and electrical are left visible in the open ceiling. The layout reflects a new way of working, encourages connectivity, socializing, and pair programming in a combination of interactive open plan areas, floating desks for those who mostly work remote, meeting areas, and collaborative lounge areas. --- Project designed by ballonSTUDIO. Designed in collaboration with Cameo Kitchens, “Fusion — The Kitchen of Tomorrow” exhibits how technology and design work in perfect harmony. The backsplash is an interactive panel consisting of three HD monitors, which allow multi-functionality: enjoying a favourite scene, Skyping with family and friends, viewing cooking videos or recipes, browsing websites and social media, displaying children’s artwork, or presenting a slideshow of family photos. If sports are the preference, watching three events simultaneously is simple. The raised breakfast bar is made of semi-precious stone, which is backlit with LED panels to complement the luxe high-gloss walnut and white lacquer cabinetry. Interior illumination is activated at a touch of the automated servo drive doors and drawers. The kitchen design won a Luxury Portfolio, “Best of the Best” Award from Robb Report.
