Living room library - transitional living room library idea in Milwaukee with a wood stove

This stunning living room was our clients new favorite part of their house. The orange accents pop when set to the various shades of gray. This room features a gray sectional couch, stacked ledger stone fireplace, floating shelving, floating cabinets with recessed lighting, mounted TV, and orange artwork to tie it all together. Warm and cozy. Time to curl up on the couch with your favorite movie and glass of wine!

The sunken den, off of the foyer, receives abundant light from a bank of windows. This portion of the home was added on in 1968 after the original owners requested more space to accommodate their growing family. Bobbie found the 1950's sofa second-hand for $10, and had it reupholstered. She chose Crypton fabric as a means to save the sofa from the cats' claws, which means that not only will the style remain timeless, but the sofa itself will always look like new. Our Surrey blanket is covered in 230-thread-count cambric cotton fabric and filled with down. It features sewn-through boxstitch construction, which keeps the down evenly distributed and has a border for a modern look. Use it as a blanket for your bed or keep it on your sofa to snuggle under with a good book.

The media room features a wool sectional and a pair of vintage Milo Baughman armchairs reupholstered in a snappy green velvet. All upholstered items were made with natural latex cushions wrapped in organic wool in order to eliminate harmful chemicals for our eco and health conscious clients (who were passionate about green interior design).
