- BIFRONTE SIDE TABLE. The Ripples bench by Toyo Ito, winner of the 2004 Golden Compass, has blossomed into a collection of different furniture complements. Amongst them, we may highlight the Bifronte side table, where a small portion of Ripples is framed in a shelf of extra clear glass, creating a ''trompe l'oeil'' effect of mid-air suspension. Bifronte becomes a nightstand with the addition of a capacious drawer on wheels. This presents white lacquered and walnut fronts, to better integrate with the overall chromatic disposition of the sleeping area.

Coconut Grove is Southwest of Miami beach near coral gables and south of downtown. It’s a very lush and charming neighborhood. It’s one of the oldest neighborhoods and is protected historically. It hugs the shoreline of Biscayne Bay. The 10,000sft project was originally built
17 years ago and was purchased as a vacation home. Prior to the renovation the owners could not get past all the brown. He sails and they have a big extended family with 6 kids in between them. The clients wanted a comfortable and causal vibe where nothing is too precious. They wanted to be able to sit on anything in a bathing suit. KitchenLab interiors used lots of linen and indoor/outdoor fabrics to ensure durability. Much of the house is outside with a covered logia.
The design doctor ordered the 1st prescription for the house- retooling but not gutting. The clients wanted to be living and functioning in the home by November 1st with permits the construction began in August. The KitchenLab Interiors (KLI) team began design in May so it was a tight timeline! KLI phased the project and did a partial renovation on all guest baths. They waited to do the master bath until May. The home includes 7 bathrooms + the master. All existing plumbing fixtures were Waterworks so KLI kept those along with some tile but brought in Tabarka tile. The designers wanted to bring in vintage hacienda Spanish with a small European influence- the opposite of Miami modern. One of the ways they were able to accomplish this was with terracotta flooring that has patina. KLI set out to create a boutique hotel where each bath is similar but different. Every detail was designed with the guest in mind- they even designed a place for suitcases.
Find the right local pro for your project

An additional sleeping area was a must, so we created a concept in the informal dining area that served as an informal dining or a guest bedroom with complete privacy, white lacquer murphy bed with side closet, frosted glass door, hidden gray blackout shades, white plantation windows and much more.

- INFINITY SIDEBOARD. The Infinity series containers are made of square units of 19''5/8W x 18''7/8D x 19''5/8H with lacquered frame (11 Horm colors) and doors veneered with bois blond stained beech (Horm finish). The doors are covered with three elements of decorative lacquered laminate attached by means of hidden magnets and whose arrangement determines the line pattern shown on the front of each container. Interestingly enough, each line moves across doors in a continued and seemingly infinite pattern, regardless of the chosen arrangement. Furthermore, the magnetic attachment allows changing the element arrangement at will to produce dynamic, original designs.

- SINAPSI SHELF. Sinapsi is the modular shelf system created by the Chilean artist Sebastian Errazuriz and inspired by the electrical impulses of brain cells. The result is a single lacquered-polyurethane element designed to organically decorate your wall without any constraints. Simply repeat the various Synapsi combinations, side by side, rotating, or mirroring them to create many different compositions and decorate walls using your own imagination.

One Riverside Park is New York’s most distinguished new address, introducing a new level of luxury to waterfront living on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. With floor to ceiling windows throughout you enjoy sweeping views of the Hudson and feel the energy of the fast-paced city that never sleeps just floors below you. With this interior the client wanted to capture that excitement but maintain a cool + comfortable environment. What we came up with is what we refer to as Industrial Chic – an interior that celebrates the grit and sexiness of the city but also embraces the metropolitan chicness that only Manhattan can provide. We took raw elements such as blackened steel, bronze and concrete and paired them with soft, tactile fabrics like cottons, silk, leathers + furs in subtle shades of greys + neutral tones to create an inviting, artistic + unique atmosphere. It’s the small yet subtle details of this interior that set the mood – buffalo leather clad columns + walls, crystal + LED wallpapers, fur rugs + bed throws and polished precious metal details throughout.
DL featured product:
DL Custom Upholstery: multi-directional sofa, DLUSH media group, modernist bedroom suite. Custom Wall Coverings: buffalo leather + cowhide wall tiles, crystal + LED wallpaper, custom graphics wallpaper. Custom Rugs: woven leather, wool, alpaca, silk graphics + fur. Lounge Chairs: altopiano leather chaise, track, marie, gordon swivel, glove + ebonized petal chair. Lighting: tokio carbon fiber, Stanhope floor, muse table, UP table, TVM table + custom fixtures. Custom built-ins + storage in natural woods + hi-gloss lacquer throughout. Special Edition + Limited Edition artworks by client.

Family Room in Rolling Hills Dr | Transitional New Build in Cave Creek, AZ |
Room Type: Whole Home Furnishings |
Project Name: Rolling Hills Dr |
Key Feature: A fully furnished transitional home designed to feel sophisticated and collected without being precious, so the clients could actually live in it and have their grandkids over without a second thought.
Challenge: The clients had just completed a new build and needed a home that reflected their taste and life stage. They wanted something that felt elevated and intentional but not stiff or untouchable. The risk with transitional design at this level is that it can tip too far in either direction, ending up either too formal to live in or too casual to feel designed. Finding that balance in a brand new home with no existing character to work from is harder than it sounds.
Solution: Living with Lolo furnished the entire home with pieces that layered sophistication with genuine comfort. Every selection was made with real life in mind, durable enough for grandkids, beautiful enough for entertaining, and cohesive enough to feel like a designer put it together rather than a furniture showroom. The transitional direction gave the home warmth and timelessness without leaning on trends that would feel dated in a few years.
Materials: Transitional furnishings with a mix of natural textures, comfortable upholstery, layered rugs and textiles, and curated accessories sourced through Living with Lolo's trade relationships.
Budget: $75,000 to $200,000 |
Timeline: Approximately 3 to 6 months from design through installation.
