Elegant dining room photo in Boston

This church has a lot of cherished history and we wanted to make the exterior hardscape match its beauty inside and out. We started with a stone cross, which sits directly behind the church where traffic passes by. The cross was hand cut and carved; a hole drilled all the way through the center so it could be used as a bubbler. Retaining walls were dry stacked with rock we've stored for 15 years, then capped with Weston Cream. We built a series of seat benches and walls that give a visual which matches the roof line of the church. Inside the entrance pillars of those walls are two hand carved crosses that appear inside two custom circle inlays made of Tennessee Quartz.

Inspiration for a mid-sized transitional formal and open concept living room remodel in New York with white walls

In this middle size town house the kitchen is a very important, central place and it had undergone a full structural remodel. The client had requested a neutral color palette with subdued natural tones. The designer had used two level counter tops to give a hint of separation between kitchen and dining areas but consistency in material gave it a united look.

the bamboo is a clumping variety called Bambusa eutuldoides viridi-vittata , Asian lemon bamboo. This variety is a clumper and you do not need to contain it, however, do allow an 8'by 10' area for its ultimate growth. Bamboo does require constant maintenance and you will need to do some research for the specific variety you choose. It will incorporate two generations immediately, with separate suites for the home owners and their parents, and will be flexible enough to accommodate the next generation as well, when the owners have children of their own. During the design process we addressed the needs of each group and took special care that each suite was designed with lots of light, high ceilings, and large rooms.
