Geneva Cabinet Company, Lake Geneva, WI
This kitchen was a finalist in the Medallion Cabinetry 2015 Kitchen of the Year Award. It takes design to the next level of convenience with the newest features.

The main level at this modern farmhouse has a great room and den bookended by stone fireplaces. The kitchen is at the center of the main living spaces where we designed multiple islands for smart base cabinet storage which still allows visual connection from the kitchen to all spaces. The open living spaces serve the owner’s desire to create a comfortable environment for entertaining during large family gatherings. There are plenty of spaces where everyone can spread out whether it be eating or cooking, watching TV or just chatting by the fireplace. The main living spaces also act as a privacy buffer between the master suite and a guest suite.

This island is a unique shape and features three different levels, kitchen height for additional prep space, a bar height seating area, and a third level that is 6" for display pieces. Curved mullions on the glass cabinets tie nicely into the curves that are featured on the wood hood.

A double island in slate blue, a custom kitchen nook with banquette seating, Decorative storage and functional spaces abound with lots of fun accents.

This single family home sits on a tight, sloped site. Within a modest budget, the goal was to provide direct access to grade at both the front and back of the house.
The solution is a multi-split-level home with unconventional relationships between floor levels. Between the entrance level and the lower level of the family room, the kitchen and dining room are located on an interstitial level. Within the stair space “floats” a small bathroom.
The generous stair is celebrated with a back-painted red glass wall which treats users to changing refractive ambient light throughout the house.
Black brick, grey-tinted glass and mirrors contribute to the reasonably compact massing of the home. A cantilevered upper volume shades south facing windows and the home’s limited material palette meant a more efficient construction process. Cautious landscaping retains water run-off on the sloping site and home offices reduce the client’s use of their vehicle.
The house achieves its vision within a modest footprint and with a design restraint that will ensure it becomes a long-lasting asset in the community.

Needing more space for their growing family, these young homeowners approached us to help them create an updated, larger home from their existing 1953 split-level.
On the first floor, walls were removed to create an open concept kitchen and living room. A new dining room addition was constructed in the back, as well as a new tandem 2-car garage.
