This reimagined library, started its life as a gloomy, cluttered space with dark paneled walls, poor lighting, heavy drapes, and poor storage. The homeowners not only envisioned a lighter, more functional space, they embraced fresh ideas to accomplish their goals. Paint the wood walls? Check! Upgrade recessed lighting? Check! Re-stain wood floors to tone down the “orange”? Check! The wonderful collaboration coupled with the homeowners incredible artwork gave way to the light, airy, and, most importantly, functional space they craved.

Awarded "Best Custom Bathroom" at the 2017 Synergy Awards, honoring excellence among members of the Home Builders Associations of Chester/Delaware and Bucks/Montgomery Counties.
The client’s starting point was the timeless Carrara Marble tiles . Our goal was to make the beautiful marble standout as the dramatic centerpiece of this luxury bathroom. To accomplish this, we used a calm, low contrast color scheme. The walls are Sherwin Williams Reflection, there is a slight grey highlight on white cabinets, and we used brushed nickel fixtures. We took full advantage of the high vaulted ceiling by adding a dramatic chandelier.

A steeply sloped property needs many retaining walls!
This active family needed to overhaul this large property but didn't know where to start. "It's like three acres of boring dirt and weeds", said my client. The steeply sloped property did indeed present unique challenges with ever-present voracious deer, the need for erosion control and bank stabilization, large areas that required planting while still considering water conservation, and the need for beautification and modernization to tie into the aesthetic of the newly renovated home. Concurrently, safety and access to all parts of the property were a consideration. Landscaping goals were accomplished through careful plant selection and judicious use of retaining walls in various styles throughout the property. Generous railroad tie steps were used on sloping side yards. The landscaped portions converge gracefully with the existing oak woodland. Children can play and hide in many fun spots, while my client's elderly grandmother can safely walk around.

This is a project that we worked on in a gorgeous home located in Carmel, Indiana. The style is a mix of transitional, Restoration Hardware and glamour. The interior design of the home flows from each room providing a style connection within the spaces. This is accomplished with the use of similar color palette and furniture style. The homeowner has a knack of interior design and decorated the home. We worked with her with the window fashions, upholstery and pillows.

Underutilized space? A keen eye for design and a healthy passion (or obsession) for wine? It’s not every day that you see a luxury wine cellar in a luxe high-rise apartment building. Space is typically limited, and there is not room for expansion. Our client decided to transform space under his sweeping staircase to a clean and modern wine cellar. The Glenview Haus team devised a plan to provide our client with the full package! A temperature-controlled, modern wine cellar, complete with an insulated modern oak door.
Flexibility is one of our many strong suits as designers. We can adapt to any space and/or limitation. When our customer approached us with the idea of creating a modern wine cellar in this space, we jumped on the opportunity to measure and confirm this area could withhold his extensive wine collection. Once we determined our state-of-the-art cooling system would be compatible with this amount of square footage, we happily moved forward and provided all design details and guided this project from start to finish. From the inside out, we were able to provide our expertise on how to accomplish a timeless entity, with a modern twist.
This custom oak wine cellar was built to achieve a luxe design element in a chic downtown loft-style apartment. Adorned with a modern clear insulated glass door, guests are prompted to view the immaculate collection that our customer has to offer. Our goal in this project was to bring a sense cohesiveness to this new design element in our client’s home. We wanted to make sure that this space looked as though it has always been there! The first glimpse at the wine cellar is complemented with a custom oak wood modern door. This is the first impression that you are greeted by, and it does not disappoint. As you walk through the modern door, you enter a matching oak wood masterpiece that boasts several different design elements. Our custom wine racks display bottles in different directions, showing off each element of a wine bottle. Top-down, tilted back, or layered on top of each other in a diagonal cut out, regardless of how your wine is displayed, it is guaranteed to ‘wow’ in our custom oak cellar!

This couple had put up with their run down split level home for years. They lived in a convenient Arlington neighborhood within walking distance to the DC metro and suburban lifestyle. But they’d had it with their small, unattractive kitchen. They wanted a new look that opened the space up and offered a seamless connection to the rest of the first floor.
Starting with small, dark 10’ x 10’ kitchen, the design team at Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes went to work. First, they moved an inside wall 18” into the adjacent living room. This provided added space for a new refrigerator, double wall oven and warming drawer. This kept all tall elements out of sight and created more counter space throughout the rest of the kitchen.
Next, a partition between the kitchen and dining room was removed and got replaced with a large double side peninsula. Topped with an exotic granite counter, it is home to a 36” gas cooktop and wine chiller. It also includes glass display cabinets for the homeowner’s prized china.
Use of taller and contrasting dark glazed cabinetry and spice cherry has accomplished the Arts & Crafts look the homeowners desired. A glass tile backsplash, hard wood floors and prairie style windows contribute to the theme as well. Finally, large windows and a skylight brighten up what was once a dark space.
The extreme makeover of this kitchen has been such an inspiration to their neighbors that the clients are asked to show it off over and over.

The client recently moved from Connecticut to West Palm Beach, and she was thrilled about her tall ceilings and airy, open floor plan! However the home was too modern (and brown!) for her taste, so the design scope included a bit of remodeling and a lot of redecorating. We started by painting all the walls white to enhance & brighten the open spaces. Incorporating the client’s bohemian vibe was the most exciting part of this project. We picked a few rooms for fun wallpaper, and you’ll notice an animal theme throughout the home. Textured, layered accessories were curated to create depth, interest and accomplish a “lived-in” home design.

The owners hoped for a larger shower. To accomplish this, we started by removing the compartmental walls of the existing shower. The new shower has a steam unit including aroma therapy, and Chromatherapy lighting.
The shower was completed with a stainless steel electric-damper exhaust vent system, controlled within the shower.
Next we installed: the tile on the walls, floor and ceiling of shower, the shower bench, and the clear glass enclosure.
The bulky, old fiber glass tub was removed. We then installed a new under mount tub with solid stone deck, a stone back splash, and decorative wood panels matching the cabinetry. The wood panels are removable for access to the plumbing...beauty and function.
Note the small entertainment area holding a television and sound system, across from the shower. The matching valance, skirts the recessed down lights.
The unique high back splash is created with small, marble, brick-pattern tile, which enhances the two custom trim, built-in mirrors, matching the cabinetry.
The recessed lights enhance the lovely tile wall, along with the beautiful sconce lights which create practical make-up lighting.
Finally, we installed the new tile floor, and mosaic tile border, which becomes another focal point of this outstanding Master Bathroom.
The owners were very pleased with the workmanship.

A pretty little planting bed near the front door breaks up the expanse of asphalt and adds interest.

This newly renovated kitchen starts with beautiful white custom shaker style cabinetry. The cream, gold and gray granite countertops complement the subtle metallic finish of the large glass subway tile backsplash beautifully. Oak wood flooring was added to the house’s existing, then all flooring was refinished a dark walnut stain. The focal point of the kitchen is the center island, with a single bowl rectangular sink. The island is large enough to provide for buffet style serving and seating for large family gatherings. Stainless appliances, hardware and pendant lighting help accomplish this transitional/contemporary look.
