Our wonderful Baker clients were ready to remodel the kitchen in their c.1900 home shortly after moving in. They were looking to undo the 90s remodel that existed, and make the kitchen feel like it belonged in their historic home. We were able to design a balance that incorporated the vintage charm of their home and the modern pops that really give the kitchen its personality. We started by removing the mirrored wall that had separated their kitchen from the breakfast area. This allowed us the opportunity to open up their space dramatically and create a cohesive design that brings the two rooms together. To further our goal of making their kitchen appear more open we removed the wall cabinets along their exterior wall and replaced them with open shelves. We then incorporated a pantry cabinet into their refrigerator wall to balance out their storage needs. This new layout also provided us with the space to include a peninsula with counter seating so that guests can keep the cook company. We struck a fun balance of materials starting with the black & white hexagon tile on the floor to give us a pop of pattern. We then layered on simple grey shaker cabinets and used a butcher block counter top to add warmth to their kitchen. We kept the backsplash clean by utilizing an elongated white subway tile, and painted the walls a rich blue to add a touch of sophistication to the space.

This nail head piece utilized 5 resources that art dallas offers in house Once conceptualized by our fantastic art consulting staff, the graphic pattern was created by our in house graphic designer then printed on wood in the AD Print Shop! After we drilled the holes we started painting each nail and the framed the piece in one of the 6,000 frames available in the AD frame shop. Once we could see a pattern our dedicated team got together in true Art Dallas fashion and hammered away to create this beautiful work!

Heidi and Jim were looking to breathe new life into their out-of-date master bathroom and they were seeking insights into optimizing the utility of their shower area. Despite being clean and well-maintained, the space did not align with their modern tastes or cater to their current needs. Let's start with the shower transformation: A new custom shower with a pony wall was built and Touch Summer 12X24" and Country Bianco Matte 5x16" Tiles were installed on the shower walls. The shower now boasts a stunning accent thanks to the installation of Marquesa Ceramic in the shower niche and finished off with Calacatta Vecchia Ceramic Penny Mosaic for the shower floor. For the vanity area, the homeowners opted to retain the existing vanity cabinets and mirror. They had the cabinets refreshed and added new marble look quartz countertops.

We started with a blank slate on this newly built townhome at the base of the foothills. We utilized a Stone Forest water feature as a focal point for the patio, book ended by a pair of seat walls designed on a slight radius to contain the front of their sand finish concrete patio. The walls were veneered with tumbled San Miguel stone from Telluride and capped with Arizona Buff flagstone carefully chiseled to match the radius of the wall. Subtle landscape lighting is concealed under the wall caps. To create privacy for their patio and to hide their air conditioner units, we fabricated and installed a system of Ipe and steel screens along the perimeter of the patio. A 13’ diameter Polaris patio umbrella by ShademakerUSA was installed to create ample shade for summer enjoyment of the patio. To finish off the project and soften all the stonework, we brought in a specimen multi trunk Spring Snow crabapple and utilized Panchito Manzanita and Cranberry Cotoneaster as understory plantings. A lone Bartzella Itoh Peony was planted just off their deck to add a stunning splash of color, and a lush flare to the setting.
