Custom built cabinet to house 3 white wine units to hold white wine at serving temperature This unique space, an underground, under the house custom wine cellar built by Vintage Cellars, truly showcases the ability to transform any unused space in the house into a magnificent wine room, no matter what the size. This wine cellar utilized dark stain on the Walnut racking to further increase the underground cellar feel. Jake at Vintage Cellars along with the owners of the home collaborated to create multiple spaces within the wine cellar itself- an area for bottle storage as well as a separate wine room space for decanting and pouring wine, as well as social get-togethers. Within the social wine room, a credenza style cabinet has been utilized for white wine and champagne storage. A credenza cabinet, or any wine refrigerator or wine cabinet such as this is a perfect option to keep your whites and champagnes at a cooler temperature, ready for serving to guests anytime. This custom wine cellar in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California posed a challenge for our wine cellar builders. Building a custom wine cellar requires a keen eye for detail. The floor and ceiling were not even in this wine room, and so extra effort was required to ensure that the custom wine racks, flooring and the like were properly fitted. As you can see, the wine cellar builders were successful in their endeavor; this large wine cellar turned out fantastic! So much open horizontal storage was used due to cement footings for the house. Every inch of racking was designed at specifics depths to accommodate the different wall depths. The homeowners, having recently moved into their new home in the heart of St. Paul, were dissatisfied with the state of their backyard and sought to transform it into a private oasis. Our client cherished childhood memories of spending time with her family on a porch, so bringing that nostalgia to life for her own family was important to her. To achieve this, the project included the construction of a beautiful 3 and 1/2 season porch addition, which the client preferred over their initial idea of a standard porch. This addition would allow for year-round enjoyment and relaxation. The backyard redesign also featured new dining and lounging areas, a cozy fire pit for social gatherings, and a fixed walkway to the garage for added convenience. To enhance privacy, fences were added around the perimeter of the yard. Additionally, dedicated gardening areas were created to allow the client to cultivate their green space. An outdoor deck section specifically designed for a grill was incorporated, providing an ideal spot for outdoor cooking and entertaining. This comprehensive approach ensured enhanced privacy and created a serene retreat that seamlessly blends with the urban surroundings, providing the client with a tranquil escape right at home.

Accoya was selected as the ideal material for this breathtaking home in West Vancouver. Accoya was used for the railing, siding, fencing and soffits throughout the property. In addition, an Accoya handrail was specifically custom designed by Upper Canada Forest Products. Design Duo Matt McLeod and Lisa Bovell of McLeod Bovell Modern houses switched between fluidity, plasticity, malleability and even volumetric design to try capture their process of space-making. Unlike anything surrounding it, this home’s irregular shape and atypical residential building materials are more akin to modern-day South American projects that stem from their surroundings to showcase concrete’s versatility. Thompson Remodeling really enjoyed working with this Grand Rapids family to remodel their basement into a family space where they could showcase their favorite sports memorabilia and other memories from their home state of Maryland. After remodeling their previous home just 6 months earlier, circumstances required the family to move. One day upon returning to their new home, they found their basement flooded! Realizing they needed to act fast to repair the damage they contacted Thompson Remodeling to help. When discussing the design for the project, our clients told us how much they had loved the updates they made to their last home and were hoping to use similar warm tones and rustic materials. We looked at photos of that home for inspiration and developed a design that would serve as an entertaining and gathering space that would allow their fantastic collection of Maryland sports memorabilia to shine. Careful consideration was given on how to use every nook and cranny of space, as was the selection process for specific rustic materials that would contribute warmth and visual interest. We used Ghost Wood to create a rich accent wall in the tv viewing area. A private hangout space for our clients' daughter was created behind sliding barn doors.

Integrated into this custom home bar / custom bar / home bar, this steel and glass enclosed wine cellar / glass wine cellar steals the show. Completely enclosed in glass and stainless steel metal framing, this custom wine cellar is a hybrid style - with both metal wine racking and wood wine racking / metal wine racks / wood wine racks. In the upper section, metal pegs were used to store the wine bottles neck out with corks forward. This style allows for a high reveal angled display of each wine bottle, all the while ensuring that each cork remains wet and wines are stored properly for long term and graceful aging. Directly below is a sweeping row of angled high reveal display. These sections are fantastic additions to any wine cellar / wine room / wine closet / wine wall / wine vault / custom cellars / custom wine cellars / custom wine rooms / custom wine walls / Wine racks . Similar to the above metal wine rack section, the bottles are placed at a specific angle meant to maintain wet corks. When I purchased this floating home from my aunt and uncle, I didn’t know about floats and stringers and other issues specific to floating homes. Nor had I really thought about the hassle of an out of state remodel. Believing that I was up for the challenge, I grabbed my water wings, sketchpad, and measuring tape and jumped right in! The clients told our designer that they wanted to hang a Maryland flag in the basement so she found this fantastic flag made of distressed wood which was hung above the mantel. For the flooring, we selected a gorgeous vinyl plank for easy cleaning and maintenance.

Design Duo Matt McLeod and Lisa Bovell of McLeod Bovell Modern houses switched between fluidity, plasticity, malleability and even volumetric design to try capture their process of space-making. Unlike anything surrounding it, this home’s irregular shape and atypical residential building materials are more akin to modern-day South American projects that stem from their surroundings to showcase concrete’s versatility. The homeowners, having recently moved into their new home in the heart of St. Paul, were dissatisfied with the state of their backyard and sought to transform it into a private oasis. Our client cherished childhood memories of spending time with her family on a porch, so bringing that nostalgia to life for her own family was important to her. To achieve this, the project included the construction of a beautiful 3 and 1/2 season porch addition, which the client preferred over their initial idea of a standard porch. This addition would allow for year-round enjoyment and relaxation. The backyard redesign also featured new dining and lounging areas, a cozy fire pit for social gatherings, and a fixed walkway to the garage for added convenience. To enhance privacy, fences were added around the perimeter of the yard. Additionally, dedicated gardening areas were created to allow the client to cultivate their green space. An outdoor deck section specifically designed for a grill was incorporated, providing an ideal spot for outdoor cooking and entertaining. This comprehensive approach ensured enhanced privacy and created a serene retreat that seamlessly blends with the urban surroundings, providing the client with a tranquil escape right at home.
