The current structure, is the third version of The Breakers, as the previous hotel buildings on the site burnt down two times. The actual hotel became the primary resort in Palm Beach, hosting many famous guests throughout the years and today it offers also The Flagler Club: a more intimate, exceptionally customized stay as an ultra-exclusive boutique hotel of 21 rooms and suites following a complete transformation by renowned Tihany Design in collaboration with us and Misuraemme for the closets scope.
Those areas are the inarguably their most luxurious and exclusive offering and we projected 21 closets, mixed between free-standing closets with London leather doors and open walk in closet. The linear closet is an important character of the design scope, with also the presence of a freestanding dresser and a glossy lacuqered boiserie with recessed mirror, that gives to the space a touch of luxury. The remaining rooms have a walk in closet system with dresser and a safe compartment included, also in that case, the space is made brighter and luxurious thanks to the LED and the choice of the finishes.

During the ground breaking ceremony, not only did we toast the occasion with mimosas, but we enjoyed a new experience with a Hindu Bhoomi Puja ritual, which literally means, the worship (Puja) of the land (Bhoomi). We were honored to be a part of this very interesting ceremony.

Tracy Berman InteriorsThis two-toned custom kitchen was designed for our 5-foot client who loves to cook. Although the floorplan stayed the same, she dreamed of having an appropriate-sized cooktop, and top cabinets she could easily access.
We dropped the back wall toekick a few inches allowing her to safely reach and have better use of the burners. To the left, a small waterfall edge in creamy white Caesarstone quartz, transitions into a standard counter height. Below her cooktop, we have larger drawers for pots and pants and spice pull-outs as her cooking zone. As for the backsplash, our client really loved her travertine tile, we kept it and refilled the areas as needed in our new design.
We boosted our total countertop area with a custom-wrapped bookcase to the left of the sink. This also allowed us to bring the island forward. The island and hood are both in the color Miso, a slightly darker stain.
Everything turned out great! If only the fridge would have made it in time. We can thank the magic of photoshop for this back order shipment!

JATES, Design + BuildThe client presented a major challenge to the designer in this kitchen. The old layout was just not serving the family anymore. The designer created a solution that improved lighting, storage & overall functionally of the space while staying environmentally conscious. JATES Construction partnered with Green Home Chicago to bring this environmentally conscious project to life. Mouser cabinetry was used which holds a KMCA certification for providing responsibly sustainable cabinetry. We used a sustainably handmade tile. Quartz countertops. We custom-built a study area with a butcher block top to match the floors. The mudroom cabinet was custom-built to match the client selected cabinetry & a butcher block top was added to tie everything together.
Bennett Design Co.These clients built their home about eight years ago and intend to age in this space. Some recent mobility limitations meant their beautiful primary bathroom was less functional than they hoped it would be. We redesigned the bathtub and shower area to create a safer, low-barrier bathtub and a more accessible shower. These simple modifications mean a safe environment for these homeowners, allowing them to stay and enjoy their home longer.

Roughing It In StyleAs you step further into the basement, you're greeted by a blend of comfort and curated touches. Sink into a distressed wax pull-up sofa that's the epitome of relaxation. Next to it, a hair-on-hide patchwork ottoman adds texture and uniqueness. A traditional vintage rug lays the foundation, tying together the room's diverse elements. Tucked into a corner, copper pottery adds an artistic note, without overpowering the space. One of the room's true gems is the antique safe, repurposed as an end table—a conversation starter that's as practical as it is intriguing. Complementing the cozy setting is an impactful yet well-scaled whitetail deer tapestry, all situated next to lakeside windows that bathe the room in inviting light. It's a perfectly balanced mix that invites you to unwind and stay awhile.
mackmiller design+buildThe clients’ 1995 primary bathroom wasn’t functional or safe. They wanted it accessible so they could age-in-place. However, to keep costs down, they wanted to stay within the current footprint and keep the same general layout. Key changes to the project included replacing a double window with a single window. This allowed for the larger double bowl vanity and a double built-in linen cabinet. A 32” wide door was installed and the tub was replaced with a barrier-free, curbless, shower. A white painted Shaker style flat panel double vanity with rarely seen Lemurian Blue granite and two white undermount sinks were added. The granite is quarried in Madagascar and rich in iridescent, labradorite deposits is the room’s focal point. A curbless shower with a hinged glass door was installed. The colors of the shower deco strip reflect the vanity top color palette. Large format marble look white and taupe porcelain shower wall and floor tile with hints of blue were installed in the shower and bathroom floor. Taupe 2 x 2 tiles were laid on the shower floor. A granite shaving bench and two corner shelves for products were added. Delta Lahara polished chrome shower head and hand shower system, vanity faucets and a robe hook were installed. Polished chrome is repeated in the Schlage Accent privacy lever door handles and Top Knobs cabinet hardware. A large custom beveled vanity framed mirror and two polished chrome three-light vanity fixtures with white glass globes were also installed.
