We really enjoyed designing this basement wine cellar in Eastern Washington. The display window provides a beautiful view of the entire wine cellar from the adjacent entertainment space. The deep, rich color of the racking is accomplished with a clear coated walnut wood species. Fine Shaker style woodwork compliments the rest of the wood detail throughout the home. A large island with lit angle displays provides plenty of space to enjoy socializing over some fine wines and appetizers. The custom Spirit Cabinet at the end of the room accommodates a drawer humidor for the occasional fine cigar. The entire room is equipped with a mechanical cooling unit to keep the room at a constant 55 degrees. Several features were added such as solid diamond bin, solid pull out case drawers, solid bottle cubicles, center drawer, and high angle displays to provide storage options for the wine collection. The focal point of the room is the beautiful arch centered on the back wall. The arch is home to hanging stemware on both sides as well as a drawer to equip all of the supplies needed in the cellar.

The different elevations of the floor to ceiling racking as well as the different bottle display angels keeps your attention while gazing around the room. The back arched area is the main focal point of the room, while standing outside the cellar. However, once inside the cellar, the colorful stained glass instantly captures your attention (designed by Designer Glass Mosaic). Two glass cabinets were designed to store a large number of stemware and other glass accouterments. The custom ladder was built to provide access to the hard to reach special wines. Sliding case storage shelves gives the homeowner space to store the special wood wine cases. A dramatically rich looking custom wine cellar located just off the basement entertainment room. This beautiful cellar holds 507 bottles of wine and was built within stone and wood finishings and indirect lighting that provide a warm ambiance in the cool space. The lit arch in the back of the room is the initial focal point when entering through the massive wood doors. There is a Vintage Barrel Cooperage tabletop below the arch and front load style stemware on either side for easy access. Once you walk into the space, the beautiful custom scalloped pull out drawers invite you to want to see what fabulous wines are stored in each drawer. Continuous rope lighting helps illuminate those special wines displayed on the wine bottle angle displays around the room. This large beautiful wine cellar was hand dug below grade. Each 5 gallon bucket of dirt carried out was tracked by notches on the piece of wood hanging on the wall (see additional pictures). In total, over 800 buckets of dirt were excavated to build this room to storing over 1200 bottles of wine. The custom wood door welcomes visitors into the wine cellar. The wine racking was made of All-Heart Redwood. A variety of racking elements were used to showcase and accommodate various size bottles such as a lit high reveal display, rope lighting, quarter rounds, Cooperage table top, stemware holder, custom cabinets and drawers, half-round display, curved corner, adjustable bins, box diamond bins, case storage, and picture boxes set into the racking. The glass double doors look into the handsome custom wine cellar adjacent to the "Man Cave". The recessed ceiling provides an added dimension to the otherwise square room. A clear coated Mahogany wood was used to build the custom wine cellar. Due to the owners needs to store various wine bottle sizes, many different elements were included in the racking to hold 1100 bottles. A wood louver was built to hide the climate control air handler split system above the door. A high reveal display angle surrounds the room and is lit with rope lighting. The arch in the back of the room includes a front load stemware holder on either side with a stone countertop just above the drawer for decanting. Wood case pullouts allow for easy access to special case wines. Both corners of the room include void bottle bins from floor to ceiling as well as diamond bins to accommodate all bottle sizes. The custom wine cellar door is the initial invitation to enter this spacious cellar that accommodates over 1300 bottles of wine. A combination of individual bottle bins, solid diamond bins, magnum bins and pull out case storage shelves and solid cabinet shelving provides a home for the various sized bottles. Front load stemware holders are tucked within the sides of arch and the reclaimed wine barrel "cooperage" table top provides a perfect place to decant the wines. This custom wine cellar was built out of Premium Redwood and was designed to hold 0ver 1500 bottles of wine. The combination of solid diamond bins, individual bottle bins, magnum bottle storage, wood case drawers, and a high reveal angel display surrounding the room provides the flexibility of various size bottles to be stored. LED lighting was used throughout the racking to highlight those special wines. Two solid display boxes as well as a center arch with a Cooperage countertop balances out the room. This arch display contains glass stemware custom wine racks, for added convenience. These, along with the tabletop, provide the perfect area at which to decant and sample wines.
