The different elevations of the floor to ceiling racking as well as the different bottle display angels keeps your attention while gazing around the room. The back arched area is the main focal point of the room, while standing outside the cellar. However, once inside the cellar, the colorful stained glass instantly captures your attention (designed by Designer Glass Mosaic). Two glass cabinets were designed to store a large number of stemware and other glass accouterments. The custom ladder was built to provide access to the hard to reach special wines. Sliding case storage shelves gives the homeowner space to store the special wood wine cases. The custom wine racking system utilizes metal vertical supports mounted floor to ceiling with horizontal metal storage rods. With a capacity of just over 470 wine bottles, this system features mixed display styles including 3-bottle deep, label-forward wine racks, angled display rows, and u-shelves for bulk storage. Additional elements include a stemware holder above a pouring station. The wine rack finishes are satin black anodized posts and parallel rods with black stained walnut rod brackets. The custom insulated, tempered glass enclosure has 3 sets of doors, with matte black hardware, allowing access to the reach-in space. Dimmable LED lighting in the ceiling provides ambiance while the LED lighting strips behind the stemware highlight the pouring station. The wine racks stand off the back wall making room for stone that adds texture to the space. This wine wall niche is a focal point of this beautiful home and is a perfect example of form and function.

A wine cellar dream come true. The homeowners came to us with a vision of a dark, rich, sexy yet functional custom wine cellar to house several different size bottles, wood cases of wine and display special wines. Through our extensive design experience, we were able to accomplish all of their needs and more. This gorgeous cellar made with clear coat Walnut houses close to 1000 bottles of special wines. The wood case storage were made with rollout shelves for easy access. The arched area is supported by a table top made of vintage barrel Cooperage. Lighting in the arch, angle bottle displays around the room and the display boxes added the finishing touch to create that sexy ambiance to the room. We really enjoyed designing this basement wine cellar in Eastern Washington. The display window provides a beautiful view of the entire wine cellar from the adjacent entertainment space. The deep, rich color of the racking is accomplished with a clear coated walnut wood species. Fine Shaker style woodwork compliments the rest of the wood detail throughout the home. A large island with lit angle displays provides plenty of space to enjoy socializing over some fine wines and appetizers. The custom Spirit Cabinet at the end of the room accommodates a drawer humidor for the occasional fine cigar. The entire room is equipped with a mechanical cooling unit to keep the room at a constant 55 degrees. Several features were added such as solid diamond bin, solid pull out case drawers, solid bottle cubicles, center drawer, and high angle displays to provide storage options for the wine collection. The focal point of the room is the beautiful arch centered on the back wall. The arch is home to hanging stemware on both sides as well as a drawer to equip all of the supplies needed in the cellar.

This large beautiful wine cellar was hand dug below grade. Each 5 gallon bucket of dirt carried out was tracked by notches on the piece of wood hanging on the wall (see additional pictures). In total, over 800 buckets of dirt were excavated to build this room to storing over 1200 bottles of wine. The custom wood door welcomes visitors into the wine cellar. The wine racking was made of All-Heart Redwood. A variety of racking elements were used to showcase and accommodate various size bottles such as a lit high reveal display, rope lighting, quarter rounds, Cooperage table top, stemware holder, custom cabinets and drawers, half-round display, curved corner, adjustable bins, box diamond bins, case storage, and picture boxes set into the racking. The glass double doors look into the handsome custom wine cellar adjacent to the "Man Cave". The recessed ceiling provides an added dimension to the otherwise square room. A clear coated Mahogany wood was used to build the custom wine cellar. Due to the owners needs to store various wine bottle sizes, many different elements were included in the racking to hold 1100 bottles. A wood louver was built to hide the climate control air handler split system above the door. A high reveal display angle surrounds the room and is lit with rope lighting. The arch in the back of the room includes a front load stemware holder on either side with a stone countertop just above the drawer for decanting. Wood case pullouts allow for easy access to special case wines. Both corners of the room include void bottle bins from floor to ceiling as well as diamond bins to accommodate all bottle sizes.
