A dramatically rich looking custom wine cellar located just off the basement entertainment room. This beautiful cellar holds 507 bottles of wine and was built within stone and wood finishings and indirect lighting that provide a warm ambiance in the cool space. The lit arch in the back of the room is the initial focal point when entering through the massive wood doors. There is a Vintage Barrel Cooperage tabletop below the arch and front load style stemware on either side for easy access. Once you walk into the space, the beautiful custom scalloped pull out drawers invite you to want to see what fabulous wines are stored in each drawer. Continuous rope lighting helps illuminate those special wines displayed on the wine bottle angle displays around the room. A vertical column with custom doors and adjustable shelves is located in the middle of the side wall racking for additional storage and to cover up home piping.

Walking into this wine cellar holding 1900 bottles initially takes your breath away. The racking was made out of a clear-coated All Heart Redwood. The different elevations of the floor to ceiling racking as well as the different bottle display angels keeps your attention while gazing around the room. The back arched area is the main focal point of the room, while standing outside the cellar. However, once inside the cellar, the colorful stained glass instantly captures your attention (designed by Designer Glass Mosaic). Two glass cabinets were designed to store a large number of stemware and other glass accouterments. The custom ladder was built to provide access to the hard to reach special wines. Sliding case storage shelves gives the homeowner space to store the special wood wine cases. A wine cellar dream come true. The homeowners came to us with a vision of a dark, rich, sexy yet functional custom wine cellar to house several different size bottles, wood cases of wine and display special wines. Through our extensive design experience, we were able to accomplish all of their needs and more. This gorgeous cellar made with clear coat Walnut houses close to 1000 bottles of special wines. The wood case storage were made with rollout shelves for easy access. The arched area is supported by a table top made of vintage barrel Cooperage. Lighting in the arch, angle bottle displays around the room and the display boxes added the finishing touch to create that sexy ambiance to the room. A clear coated Mahogany wood was used to build the custom wine cellar. Due to the owners needs to store various wine bottle sizes, many different elements were included in the racking to hold 1100 bottles. A wood louver was built to hide the climate control air handler split system above the door. A high reveal display angle surrounds the room and is lit with rope lighting. The arch in the back of the room includes a front load stemware holder on either side with a stone countertop just above the drawer for decanting. Wood case pullouts allow for easy access to special case wines. Both corners of the room include void bottle bins from floor to ceiling as well as diamond bins to accommodate all bottle sizes. The concealed bar opens to reveal a full service home bar and glass doors display an array of stemware. This wet bar is part of a big, multi-room project for a family of four that also included a new mudroom and a primary bath remodel. The existing family/playroom was more playroom than family room. The addition of a wet bar/beverage station would make the area more enjoyable for adults as well as kids. Design Objectives -Cold Storage for craft beers and kids drinks -Stay with a more masculine style -Display area for stemware and other collectibles Design Challenge -Provide enough cold refrigeration for a wide range of drinks while also having plenty of storage THE RENEWED SPACE By incorporating three floating shelves the homeowners are able to display all of their stemware and other misc. items. Anything they don’t want on display can be hidden below in the base cabinet roll-outs. This is a nice addition to the space that adults and kids can enjoy at the same time. The undercounter refrigeration is efficient and practical – saving everyone a trip to the kitchen when in need of refreshment, while also freeing up plenty of space in the kitchen fridge!

We really enjoyed designing this basement wine cellar in Eastern Washington. The display window provides a beautiful view of the entire wine cellar from the adjacent entertainment space. The deep, rich color of the racking is accomplished with a clear coated walnut wood species. Fine Shaker style woodwork compliments the rest of the wood detail throughout the home. A large island with lit angle displays provides plenty of space to enjoy socializing over some fine wines and appetizers. The custom Spirit Cabinet at the end of the room accommodates a drawer humidor for the occasional fine cigar. The entire room is equipped with a mechanical cooling unit to keep the room at a constant 55 degrees. Several features were added such as solid diamond bin, solid pull out case drawers, solid bottle cubicles, center drawer, and high angle displays to provide storage options for the wine collection. The focal point of the room is the beautiful arch centered on the back wall. The arch is home to hanging stemware on both sides as well as a drawer to equip all of the supplies needed in the cellar.

A beautiful custom wine cellar is climate controlled and built within a glass room adjacent to the living room and kitchen. This eye catching wine cellar allows the home owner easy access to the 423 bottles which can be stored in the diamond bins, individual bottle bins, or metal racking on the side walls.
