DRM Design Group provided Landscape Architecture and construction services for this Bixby country residence. The project consisted of a native plant palette, drip irrigation system, outdoor lighting, tree protection and low impact construction practices, custom metal trellis and arbors. The layout was simple and clean so as to not distract from the natural beauty of their surroundings.

This deck entertainment area was constructed using an Azek composite wood product. The advantages of using a material such as this is that maintenance is greatly reduced (no need to stain or seal) for a longer lasting product.

LED light is installed in the 4x6 tight knot cedar supports for the custom patio cover. The light can be dimmed by remote control. The clear prism wave acrylic lets the light in and provides protection form UV rays and the rain. I have over ten shades of this acrylic panel. The clear was used on this project as it blended well with the view of the water when seen from the home above.

This outdoor kitchen is equipped with a beverage cooler, sink, stainless steel range, 36" BBQ, pop up outdoor TV, patio heater and an 11' x 19' skylight in the roof. All cabinets, columns, beams and privacy screen are vertical grain fir, sourced locally. The decking is Garapa.
