We were excited when the homeowners of this project approached us to help them with their whole house remodel as this is a historic preservation project. The historical society has approved this remodel. As part of that distinction we had to honor the original look of the home; keeping the façade updated but intact. For example the doors and windows are new but they were made as replicas to the originals. The homeowners were relocating from the Inland Empire to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren. One of their requests was additional living space. In order to achieve this we added a second story to the home while ensuring that it was in character with the original structure. The interior of the home is all new. It features all new plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Although the home is a Spanish Revival the homeowners style on the interior of the home is very traditional. The project features a home gym as it is important to the homeowners to stay healthy and fit. The kitchen / great room was designed so that the homewoners could spend time with their daughter and her children. The home features two master bedroom suites. One is upstairs and the other one is down stairs. The homeowners prefer to use the downstairs version as they are not forced to use the stairs. They have left the upstairs master suite as a guest suite. Powder Room: This powder room has a black toilet and Herringbone travertine. Kitchen: This kitchen was designed for someone who likes to cook! It features a Pot Filler, a peninsula and an island, a prep sink in the island, and cookbook storage on the end of the peninsula. The homeowners opted for a mix of stainless and paneled appliances. Although they have a formal dining room they wanted a casual breakfast area to enjoy informal meals with their grandchildren. The kitchen also utilizes a mix of recessed lighting and pendant lights. A wine refrigerator and outlets conveniently located on the island and around the backsplash are the modern updates that were important to the homeowners. Master bath: The master bath enjoys both a soaking tub and a large shower with body sprayers and hand held. For privacy, the bidet was placed in a water closet next to the shower. There is plenty of counter space in this bathroom which even includes a makeup table. Staircase: The staircase features a decorative niche Upstairs master suite: The upstairs master suite features the Juliette balcony Outside: Wanting to take advantage of southern California living the homeowners requested an outdoor kitchen complete with retractable awning. The fountain and lounging furniture keep it light. Home gym: This gym comes completed with rubberized floor covering and dedicated bathroom. It also features its own HVAC system and wall mounted TV.

The kitchen features Greenfield Cabinetry in the Carlton door style in two painted finishes. The perimeter cabinets are in the finish Repose and the kitchen island the Benjamin Moore color San Jose Blue. Kitchen countertops are MSI Q in the color Snow White. It was a refreshing change from the white cabinets. Supply issues forced us to re-visit the island countertop selection. This was the biggest challenge for this project because the kitchen was designed around the original selection as a focal point. This kitchen got a huge transformation. The homeowners were looking to make their kitchen not only larger, but also more open. To accomplish this, multiple walls were removed on both ends of the existing kitchen. We also removed the peninsula and the uppers cabinets to help open the space up more. To make this kitchen really stand out, they decided to go with two-tone colored cabinets. They went with a maple shaker door from our Kitchen Solvers Classic Collection line. The cabinets were done in a snow white color while the island was done in a Gale Force color. To finish the transformation, we added a Peppercorn Quartz countertop and a Canvas Meringue white subway tile backsplash. Our team recently had the privilege of working with some of our favorite repeat clients who had just moved into their new home. Project Manager, Tony Cicchino, and Designer, Justina Auer, joined forces to work their magic and the results are truly remarkable! The clients wanted to transform and empty room into a multipurpose mudroom and laundry space. Featuring the main laundry machines and ample storage for all the garage overflow, the room is now a hub of organization. The base cabinets were cleverly designed to be built up a few inches to keep harmful items away from little ones and offer an excellent level space for folding and sorting clothes. Practicality meets style! The clients also left their previous home with fond memories of the built-ins we installed in their previous home, and they wanted a similar setup for their new game room. Closing of the original pantry and closing in the second door way providing additional wall space for storage and appliances. Additionally, removing the bulky peninsula made room for a sleek island with dish storage, tandem trash and recycling, a docking station, and valuable prep/buffet counter space. It also opened up the Kitchen to the property's beautiful water view and mountains in the distance. This kitchen got a huge transformation. The homeowners were looking to make their kitchen not only larger, but also more open. To accomplish this, multiple walls were removed on both ends of the existing kitchen. We also removed the peninsula and the uppers cabinets to help open the space up more. To make this kitchen really stand out, they decided to go with two-tone colored cabinets. They went with a maple shaker door from our Kitchen Solvers Classic Collection line. The cabinets were done in a snow white color while the island was done in a Gale Force color. To finish the transformation, we added a Peppercorn Quartz countertop and a Canvas Meringue white subway tile backsplash. This kitchen is now beautifully updated, and the homeowner has a more functioning kitchen with tons of storage and seating.

Beautiful wine collections need an equally beautiful display. Our customers located in the Streeterville area had an enormous collection, and we provided them with the added illusion of an enormous wine cellar! One of our favorite elements of this modern wine cellar is the mirrored ceiling. This is a creative trick to provide an infinite appearance that will elude to the idea of having hundreds of shelves! Each corner of this modern wine cellar is complemented by our different racking techniques. Our display shelves allow each bottle to have its own moment of appreciation, to create an artful look that is sure to impress. When our client approached us with an idea of housing their extensive wine collection in their modern high rise residence, we were thrilled! After viewing their incredibly modern home, we realized that we could not provide them with a traditional wine cellar. We were presented with an exciting task of reimagining our traditional displays, to a clean and sleek modern design. As designers, maintaining the flow of a home is very important to us and our mission is to enhance the home’s existing features. From the wine cellar door to the ceiling, we were able to bring our A-game and create a complementary extension to our customer’s home. Our custom wine cellar door is equipped with a matching threshold, that holds all of the cold air in place. When you take a step inside, you are greeted from floor to ceiling with exquisite design. From our customer’s collectible storage boxes to 4 upward facing display shelves, you are immediately aware that this is a work of art. Each display shelf is adorned with its own light strip that further draws attention to the collectible wine bottles. As you glance up further, you see our storage shelves in full force. Playing off of the vast collection, we decided to install a mirrored ceiling. This design element allowed us to have some fun, and to further accentuate the large collection. This modern wine cellar is complete with a clear glass insulated Modern door that creates a temperature-controlled environment, conducive for preserving wine for decades. As designers, we were presented with a wonderful opportunity to showcase several of our strong suits. We were able to provide our client with a modern wine cellar, as well as an engineered, temperature-controlled environment. We were excited when the homeowners of this project approached us to help them with their whole house remodel as this is a historic preservation project. The historical society has approved this remodel. As part of that distinction we had to honor the original look of the home; keeping the façade updated but intact. For example the doors and windows are new but they were made as replicas to the originals. The homeowners were relocating from the Inland Empire to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren. One of their requests was additional living space. In order to achieve this we added a second story to the home while ensuring that it was in character with the original structure. The interior of the home is all new. It features all new plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Although the home is a Spanish Revival the homeowners style on the interior of the home is very traditional. The project features a home gym as it is important to the homeowners to stay healthy and fit. The kitchen / great room was designed so that the homewoners could spend time with their daughter and her children. The home features two master bedroom suites. One is upstairs and the other one is down stairs. The homeowners prefer to use the downstairs version as they are not forced to use the stairs. They have left the upstairs master suite as a guest suite.
