Here's where the water comes out of the pipe. We created a pool to take some fight out of the water and remove sediment so it won't enter the lake. If the pool fills during a big storm, it will go over the notch in the weir without creating as much erosion and damage to the beach as happened in 2019. We designed a natural mahogany bridge over the stream to connect two properties owned by the same family.

This new dry stream bed diverts excess water away from the lawn, while also creating an eye-catching focal point for the backyard. Large flagstones act as "foot bridges" to the "island" where the river birch lives.

Each spill rock along this second backyard stream was carefully positioned to depict the most natural water movement. The stream flows down and over a 2-foot-by-2-foot-wide moss rock waterfall and cascades into a 10-foot-by-15-foot pond. This landscape design created a backyard oasis featuring a custom built pergola, water feature functioning stream bed, retaining wall, pavers, and a fire pit. The large natural stone slab acts as a bridge over the flowing water of the stream bed.

Improvising; our staff created a small stream and bubblers with natural stone, gravel and two metal pots. After the area was soften with hens & chicks, water loving perennials and sun loving plants.
