This backyard oasis features a custom built pergola, water feature functioning stream bed, retaining wall, pavers, and a fire pit. The natural stone slabs lead out into the yard.

Before we came on site, this stream drained the watershed on coastal Connecticut . We removed the pachysandra that was clogging the waterway, rebuilt the stream bed with large boulders and planted native grasses and perennials.

When installing a man-made stream with waterfalls, some of our clients — especially those with very young children or small pets — prefer it to be “pondless.” Collecting the water is an Aquascape RainXchange reservoir leaving the water to seemingly disappear into the gravel instead of a pond. Our focus was to create an outdoor living space that best utilized the area transitioning to the pool, while maintaining a water-wise/drought tolerant landscape. We incorporated our hand cast succulent water table, a pondless stream, synthetic turf, a fully paved patio with our famous Belgard paving stones, high-end outdoor furniture, a custom pergola and even a dry creek bed to tie everything together.
