This 1-story Arts & Crafts style home includes a 2-car garage with mudroom entry complete with built-in lockers. Designer details throughout the home include lofty 10' ceilings. Stylish vinyl plank flooring in the foyer that extends to the dining room, kitchen, and living room. Off of the foyer is a study with coffered ceiling. The kitchen is open to the dining and living room and features granite countertops with tile backsplash, attractive cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances. The spacious living room is warmed by a gas fireplace with stone surround and shiplap above the mantel. The owner’s suite with tray ceiling includes a spacious closet private bath with a tile shower and double bowl vanity with cultured marble top.

Our design studio fully renovated this beautiful 1980s home. We divided the large living room into dining and living areas with a shared, updated fireplace. The original formal dining room became a bright and fun family room. The kitchen got sophisticated new cabinets, colors, and an amazing quartz backsplash. In the bathroom, we added wooden cabinets and replaced the bulky tub-shower combo with a gorgeous freestanding tub and sleek black-tiled shower area. We also upgraded the den with comfortable minimalist furniture and a study table for the kids. --- Project designed by Miami interior designer Margarita Bravo. AV Architects + Builders Location: McLean, VA, USA 1528 Forrest Villa is situated in the heart of McLean, VA in a well-established neighborhood. This unique site is perfect for this modern house design because it sits at the top of a hill and has a grand view of the landscape. We have designed a home that feels like a retreat but offers all the amenities a family needs to keep up with the fast pace of Northern VA. The house offers over 8,200 sqft of luxury living area on three finished levels. The main level is an open-concept floor plan designed to entertain. The central area is the great room and the kitchen separated by a two-sided fireplace, but it’s surrounded by a very generous dining room, a study with custom built-ins and an outdoor covered patio with another gas fireplace. We also have a functional mudroom with a powder room right-off the 3-car garage with plenty of storage. The open stair case anchors the front elevation of the home to the front porch and the site. The second level offers a master suite with an expansive custom his/her walk-in closet, a master bath with a curb less shower area, a free-standing soaking tub and his/her vanities. Our Bellevue studio designed this fun, family-friendly home for a lovely family with four active kids. We used durable performance fabrics to ensure maximum fun with minimum maintenance. We chose a soft, neutral palette throughout the home that beautifully highlights the stunning decor and elegant detailing. The kitchen is bright and beautiful, with a stunning island and lovely blue chairs that add a hint of sophistication. In the bedrooms, we added cozy, comfortable furnishings that create a warm, inviting appeal, perfect for relaxation. The twin study with a calm blue palette, comfy chairs, and plenty of workspaces makes it perfect for productivity. We also created a play area with a foosball table and air hockey table to ensure plenty of entertainment for the whole family.

A thoughtful study in scale and light. This angle highlights the bright, open-concept layout centered around a classic white apron-front farmhouse sink. Flanked by striking glass-front display cabinetry and anchored by a rich, natural wood-grain island base, the space is flooded with ambient light from the architectural skylight above. Every element is meticulously detailed to balance luxury entertainment with daily utility.

Situated on the west slope of Mt. Baker Ridge, this remodel takes a contemporary view on traditional elements to maximize space, lightness and spectacular views of downtown Seattle and Puget Sound. We were approached by Vertical Construction Group to help a client bring their 1906 craftsman into the 21st century. The original home had many redeeming qualities that were unfortunately compromised by an early 2000’s renovation. This left the new homeowners with awkward and unusable spaces. After studying numerous space plans and roofline modifications, we were able to create quality interior and exterior spaces that reflected our client’s needs and design sensibilities. The resulting master suite, living space, roof deck(s) and re-invented kitchen are great examples of a successful collaboration between homeowner and design and build teams.

This young, family-centered couple had the budget to allow them to choose luxurious finishes for their custom new-build. With a mix of vintage and modern styles, strong gestures, and a study of blue and white throughout, we were able to create a harmonious, warm and cozy ambiance.
