Designing this traditional kitchen for a more updated layout was a breath of fresh air for this ranch style home. A large island, wide plank flooring, and farmhouse style lighting rounded out the look with classic white cabinetry.

When designing this kitchen update and addition, Phase One had to keep function and style top of mind, all the time. The homeowners are masters in the kitchen and also wanted to highlight the great outdoors and the future location of their pool, so adding window banks were paramount, especially over the sink counter. The bathrooms renovations were hardly a second thought to the kitchen; one focuses on a large shower while the other, a stately bathtub, complete with frosted glass windows Stylistic details such as a bright red sliding door, and a hand selected fireplace mantle from the mountains were key indicators of the homeowners trend guidelines. Storage was also very important to the client and the home is now outfitted with 12.

This beautiful farmhouse chic bathroom has a black and white patterned cement tile floor. The wall tiles are white subway tiles with black grout. A stone wall was removed and the layout reworked to create more room for two people to cook at the same time in this new kitchen. The raised ceiling and creamy cabinets make things more open and a custom hood over the stone backsplash creates a strong focal point. The gorgeous island has a surround of reclaimed wood and also compliments the same wood also used on the raised ceiling. This stunning kitchen exhibits elegance at every turn. Details abound in this gorgeous room. Crown molding, and fluted pilaster column details adorn the integrated hood over the electric cook top. A mantle above the cook top is supported by brackets and can be used to house decorative items or stand on it's own as an architectural element within the room. On each side of the cook top and decorative hood are glass doors with lyrical curved elements that compliment the decorative style of the back splash. Phase 2 of our Modern Cottage project was the complete renovation of a small, impractical kitchen and dining nook. The client asked for a fresh, bright kitchen with natural light, a pop of color, and clean modern lines. The resulting kitchen features all of the above and incorporates fun details such as a scallop tile backsplash behind the range and artisan touches such as a custom walnut island and floating shelves and a custom metal range hood. This kitchen is all that the client asked for and more!

During the designing phase of the project, Richard envisioned a custom fridge wall unit that would house a panel ready fridge and a coffee and microwave cabinet. In doing so he took every detail into account to make it a highly functional and stunning piece.
