Turned an empty, unused formal living room into a hip bourbon bar and library lounge for a couple who relocated to DFW from Louisville, KY. They wanted a place they could entertain friends or just hang out and relax with a cocktail or a good book. We added the wet bar and library shelves, and kept things modern and warm, with a wink to the prohibition era. The formerly deserted room is now their favorite spot. The four interior door models of the Alder series represent four distinct periods in the history of architecture. Rimmozia stands for the simple elegance of early Renaissance, Italian style, with a piquant residual Gothic touch. Melossandre is a symbolic depiction of the Baroque period in its Roman and Parisian versions, when stylish interior doors suddenly were all the rage. Alissia was inspired by the sumptuous forms of Rococo, which at the end of the day is just Baroque at its wildest (interior doors and all). Finally, Yanitta’s intricate lines symbolize the dashing ornaments and irresistible architectural tricks that Art Nouveau has to offer. These four interior door models can be used in most of the standard sizes and configurations.

Located in stylish Chelsea, this updated five-floor townhouse incorporates both a bold, modern aesthetic and sophisticated, polished taste. Palettes range from vibrant and playful colors in the family and kids’ spaces to softer, rich tones in the master bedroom and formal dining room. DHD interiors embraced the client’s adventurous taste, incorporating dynamic prints and striking wallpaper into each room, and a stunning floor-to-floor stair runner. Lighting became one of the most crucial elements as well, as ornate vintage fixtures and eye-catching sconces are featured throughout the home. Making the Most of a Small Footprint We maximized the room’s small footprint by designing a custom built-in bed, nightstands, and desk. We then added visual interest and sound dampening with the acoustic slat walls. The end result is a guest suite as beautiful and luxurious as the finest hotels. Our St. Pete studio gave this gorgeous home a beautiful makeover with a neutral color palette that nicely highlights the thoughtful design details. We added cottage-style barn doors for the bathroom giving it an elegant charm that heightens the stunning designs of the space. In the kitchen, we used the classic black and white theme, punctuated with organic elements like plants and wooden shelves that create a warm, lived-in feel. We added an attractive area rug in the dining room along with beautiful artwork and statement lighting to create visual interest.
