We used Sheep + Stone for interior design in our new home in LA. Even though Sheena was based across the country, our experience - from beginning to end - was easy, fun, and creative. We found Sheena to be extremely responsive, thoughtful in her choices, and listened with a sound ear to our specifications - all with a positive attitude. It's clear this business is a passion and one Sheena is truly talented at. We love the look and feel of the finished project. With a young family we strived for a clean, attractive look but also one that we could easily make home with 3 young children. I hired Sheep + Stone for an interior design project for a condo we purchased in Brooklyn, New York. Sheena and her team not only have an outstanding eye for design, but are incredibly professional, organized, budget-conscience, hardworking, and honest. They routinely go beyond their scope to ensure the project is successful, and the client is happy. I have worked with a number of interior designers on a variety of projects (I work in real estate by profession), and I have never been so impressed by a company as I have been with Sheep + Stone. I have known Sheena and her team now for almost two years, and with each new project we begin together I become more impressed with their work.. It can often be difficult to find an interior design company that has great design skills and is also business-minded and well-managed, but Sheena and her team at Sheep + Stone encompass all of these skills. After countless hours walking into the same furniture stores over and over to "finish" our apartment we knew we needed help. We worried an interior designer would only want a huge or expensive project or a client who would turn over their keys and control---these concerns were erased from our very first meeting with Sheena Murphy at Sheep + Stone. From calculating a budget, to design schemes, to shopping Sheena's guidance, patience, and understanding have been invaluable. She listens carefully and responds efficiently to any questions or concerns. Her patience and perseverance in searching out exactly what we were looking for (and always with the costs in mind) never wavers. Sheena sources from both "traditional" shops (Room & Board, Design Within Reach) and from unique artisans and antique vendors to create a distinct and affordable design scheme. She has demonstrated a keen eye for color, feel for texture, and ability to mix high and low. On top of all this Sheena is a lot of fun to be around and we always look forward to the next consultation or shopping trip. We worked with Sheep + Stone as part of a renovation for our 1920's London home; Sheena and her team provided strong architectural guidance and worked harmoniously with our contractors. They successfully turned our tired, dated house into a fresh modern home which we will enjoy for years to come. Sheena is extremely creative, and has an incredible ability to really get under the skin of her clients' needs and tastes. She sourced responsibly, from a really great variety of vendors, and completed the work on time, and on budget.
