The dining area opens to the view a small deck and the pond below via a 9' wide pocked door. Both sides of the dining space can be fully opened to the site.
Inspired by local fishing shacks and wharf buildings dotting the coast of Maine, this retreat interweaves large glazed openings with simple taut-skinned New England shingled cottages. This skin is incised to open views to the sea beyond and relies on light steel framing and thin braces to preserve the simple forms eroded toward sweeping views.

Picture perfect 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom
penthouse with roof deck and parking. Completely remodeled with no detail overlooked, this 1,351 square foot home offers a classic chef’s kitchen with Thermador cooktop and double oven, French Door refrigerator, custom cabinets, Sile Stone counters, farmhouse sink and separate bar with dual ULine wine refrigeration. The sumptuous master retreat features an en suite bath with spa shower with rain showerhead and body jets, Kohler fixtures and designer tile. Roof deck features low maintenance Trex decking, Hunter Douglas window treatments throughout, 10 foot ceilings, custom closets, built ins, crown molding, skylights and fireplace in living room. Convenient downtown location near restaurants, light rail and NYC transportation.

The different levels of this space not only suggest distinct areas for lounging and dining but the raised area enhances the views of the outdoors over the living room seating. The built in bookcase was existing but was in a dark wood and so we painted it and had all the sections lit to highliight the owners' arrowhead collection. The floors and handrails throughout the house were originally a high gloss gymnasium yellow floor - they were sanded and given a satin sheen. Lighting design is more than meets the eye; when done correctly it sets the tone for a specific space. Not always meant to be the object of attention in a room, but always the extension of beautiful interior and exterior design. We have more than a few ways to help you approach the subject.
Lighting controls can easily duplicate the appearance of occupancy in your home while you are away or eliminate a large bank of light switches with a single lighting keypad that controls a large area . . . we are experts in this field.

The client for this home wanted a modern structure that was suitable for displaying her art-glass collection. Located in a recently developed community, almost every component of the exterior was subject to an array of neighborhood and city ordinances. These were all accommodated while maintaining modern sensibilities and detailing on the exterior, then transitioning to a more minimalist aesthetic on the interior. The one-story building comfortably spreads out on its large lot, embracing a front and back courtyard and allowing views through and from within the transparent center section to other parts of the home. A high volume screened porch, the floating fireplace, and an axial swimming pool provide dramatic moments to the otherwise casual layout of the home.

These are our first iterations and our designs are subject to change. The Aston Martin Residences will open in 2023.
