I designed this media wall to be asymmetrical, with mantle, shelves and t.v. console at varying depths. It is made from quarter sawn maple in a walnut finish. Instead of trying to make the t.v. the focal point, we succeeded in making that whole area a large sculptural feature.

All Weather teamed up with the Property Brothers and Queen of Broadway Idina Menzel on this week’s episode of HGTV’s hit show CELEBRTIY IOU. In the Idina Menzel’s Slam Dunk Reno episode, Idina pivots from her award-winning stage, film and music success to give back and surprise her good friend and son’s basketball coach James, by transforming his detached garage into a dedicated office and athletic retreat. James Hunt founded Culture Run, a youth basketball program that gives kids the skills to succeed in both basketball and life. With IDINA MENZEL’S surprise renovation, James is one step closer to running a centralized training facility and headquarters where kids can drop by for counseling, basketball tips, and more. When the PROPERTY BROTHERS meet up with Idina to demo the garage, they involve her in every step. Menzel gets her hands dirty by swinging a sledgehammer, operating an electric hand saw and removing storage bins. “I didn’t know they get as down and dirty as they do,” Menzel commented. “I also didn’t know they were gonna have me do so much!” Menzel also helped choose the tile, cabinets, hardware, flooring and the overall color palette. All the effort was worthwhile because Menzel was able to surprise James with the basketball hangout and showstopping of his dreams. HOPKINTON GOES EXOTIC - One of the great things about refacing is that we can change an existing kitchen from almost anything to almost anything else. The homeowner wanted something really special for her kitchen and we were able to give it to her: wenge wood! Other interesting features: several of the upper doors, the wider ones, flip up with an awesome Blum slow-open/slow-close lift. There is a hidden euro-style hood over the stovetop (it's there, not visible unless it's being used). The homeowner wanted this kitchen to be extra special and she succeeded! Cluttered, dark, and chilly basements can be daunting spaces for remodeling. They tend to get filled with every old and unwanted item in the house from worn out furniture to childhood memorabilia .This basement was a really challenging task and we succeed to create really cozy, warm, and inviting atmosphere—not like a basement at all. The work involved was extensive, from the foundation to new molding. Our aim was to create a unique space that would be as enjoyable as the rest of this home. We utilized the odd space under the stairs by incorporating a wet bar. We installed TV screen with surround sound system, that makes you feel like you are part of the action and cozy fireplace to cuddle up while enjoying a movie.

bulthaup b3 kitchen in dark oak and gray aluminum; strikingly beautiful in contrast to the white interior of this Pacific Palisades home. The bulthaup white stone worktop succeeds as accent and a true balance in tone is achieved.

This bathroom was one of the most awkward layouts we have ever had to redesign, but by relocating the door, enlarging the width of the bathroom where possible, extending the length into the rear walk in closet and creating a wall to hide the toilet, we succeeded. It is now one of the most glamorous and functional bathrooms we have ever designed. The photos speak for themselves.

The residence, in the heart of the Texas hill country, has an exterior reminiscent of a Tuscany village, but hides a contemporary interior showcasing the client’s extensive art collections in an underground art gallery. The residence has an abundance of unique rooms for entertaining and living, each fitting the character of its owner. One space especially important to the owner is the master bathroom, which was designed as a luxurious sanctuary. With an intricately tiled walk-in shower, an elevated bathtub surrounded by windows and a dominant chandelier centerpiece, the space succeeded in creating the grandeur requested by the client. This vintage hex glass and brass cabinet latch was purchased from Ebay. It is estimated to be 100-years-old and perfectly suited for the time period our home was built. The brass "bow" pull is a modern reproduction of a "penny" pull that we obtained from Van Dyke Restorers, again, perfect for the period the home was built. We had intended to use the chrome art deco pulls that were part of the original (to us) decor of the kitchen, and I succeeded in finding enough matches for the upper cabinets through various sources on Ebay, but as the project progressed, we could see that the finish and style were less compatible with the direction the kitchen was moving. It was not possible to locate exact matches for the lower, red and chrome pulls, so these simple penny pulls became our choice. We used brushed silver finish for the kitchen, and brass for the panty, since the cabinet hinges were brass (painted silver at one point).

This client contacted us with a two fold purpose. The first was that his yard was constantly wet no matter how much or how little he irrigated, which kept him and his pets from enjoying the yard. The second was to give him and his wife a patio that fit the space well. We designed a retaining wall that diverted water away from his property that was draining off several neighbor's lots onto his. Along with excavating and removing some poor soils, this succeeded in drying out what had previously been a saturated and largely unusable backyard. We also designed a spacious, curved layout that compliments the rolling nearby terrain. We also sealed the hardscape elements to give it a lustrous, wet look without making it slippery!

Remodeling and gutting a former body shop, we officially opened our doors at Whiski Kitchen Design Studio September 2015. The showroom kept parts of its original aesthetics displaying the concrete floor and exposed duct work. We added a15-panel glass garage door to reveal several unique kitchen vignettes on display.
