CRAFTSMAN STYLING influences the oak kitchen in the Bixby Knolls house plan, a Craftsman design by Mark Wyatt. The kitchen has inset doors and drawers to compliment the classic theme. The heart of the space is designed around shelves that are OPEN-BACKED to allow daylight to filter through casement windows. A CENTRAL ARCHED CABINET, not connected to the overhead soffit, seems to float in space - appearing to be supported only by shelves to either side. One of the features of the CRAFTSMAN KITCHEN is the ARCHED SOFFIT and double-door cabinet with arched doors. The kitchen Wyatt designed makes the perfect gathering place in this Craftsman styled house plan.
A LENGTHY ISLAND - stretching more than 10-feet, has a single-height surface to make entertaining and meal prep a snap. And in keeping with the vintage Craftsman style, GLASS TILES add a splash of color to the full-height backsplash.

This Kitchen renovation was created for a busy family who wanted their home to better support the way they lived.
With two children, a dog, and demanding professional schedules, the Kitchen was the heart of their home. However, the existing space felt outdated, inefficient, and disconnected from their personal style. The heavy wood finishes and worn materials no longer reflected the look or functionality they wanted.
The goal was to create a Kitchen that felt fresh and elevated, while still looking like it had always belonged in the home.
The new design focused on improving functionality while carefully selecting materials that blended seamlessly with the existing finishes. White oak veneer Kitchen cabinetry brought warmth and timeless character, while a natural dolomite countertop became the centrepiece of the space.
Custom cabinetry was also added to the Mudroom, creating additional storage and helping the home function better for everyday life.
The Clients had a strong vision and a preference for natural materials rather than standard builder-grade finishes. Through thoughtful conversations and careful sourcing, we helped bring that vision to life while balancing design goals and budget considerations.
The finished Kitchen is warm, functional, and timeless. It is a space designed not only to look beautiful but to support busy mornings, family meals, and everyday moments.

This gem of a beach house was one of the last few projects I worked on during my employ at Henry Sprott Long & Associates, Inc. This family home is located at The Retreat in Blue Mountain Beach which is in Walton County along scenic Highway 30-A. This exclusive enclave rests atop thirty foot tall dunes and commands a breath taking view of the Gulf of Mexico. It is bordered on one side by Draper Lake which is a coastal dune lake composed of brackish water and supporting both salt and fresh water aquatic life which makes them rather rare. Although I worked in Orlando many years ago, this was my first residential project in Florida. We look forward to other work in Florida in the future so, if you are planning a beach house please keep us in mind. I also recommend a visit to the website to learn more about the development. http://retreatflorida.com/

This remodel consisted of a whole house transformation. We took this 3 bedroom dated home and turned it into a 5 bedroom award winning showpiece, all without an addition. By reworking the awkward floor plan and lowering the living room floor to be level with the rest of the house we were able to create additional space within the existing footprint of the home. What was once the small lack-luster master suite, is now 2 kids bedrooms that share a jack and jill bath. The master suite was relocated to the first floor, and the kitchen that was located right at the front door, is now located in the back of the home with great access to the patio overlooking the golf course.

Design ideas for a mid-sized modern drought-tolerant, desert and partial sun backyard concrete paver landscaping.

The beefy tongue and groove 2×6 flooring is durable enough to support a Jacuzzi, hot tub or whirlpool spa. Eleven screens create a vast amount of air flow and clear views while a heavy duty screen door is hung with sturdy black hardware. There is no plywood used in this design, it is made completely with native lumber grown in the USA. Available as a screen room ~ or optional insulated double hung windows ~ as cabin kits (estimated assembly time - 2 people, 28 hours), diy cabin floor plans ($50) or as a fully assembled backyard garden building."

The Aerius - Modern American Craftsman on Acreage in Ridgefield Washington by Cascade West Development Inc.
Welcome to the Aerius. Don’t let the Northwest inspired appearance fool you. As you step inside; the interwoven transitional, modern and contemporary elements make personal solitude, friendly gatherings, and extended family stays simultaneously conceivable. The thoughtful division of rooms and amenities insure space for each member of the household to act independently or to come together as a whole and share in the quiet sophistication of the common areas. The family that lives here values independence as well as inclusion. Functionality and freedom are the principles of this nest; from which a family can take flight.
At first glance this home seems to disappear into it’s surroundings. The dark, natural appearance of the rock borrows hues and rough texture from the surrounding forest. A soft, powder blue paint gives no clear chromatic indication between structure and sky. With this in mind the dark shingles seem to float above a stoney foundation. Unexpected levitation isn’t the only aerial endeavor this home embarks upon. With lofty interiors and dismissible separation from the outdoors; people, air and conversation can flow freely throughout the combined space. Overall the home echoes the popular American Craftsman style, which dots the Pacific Northwest landscape. This home’s many peaks; supported by visible gables and lower exterior masonry denote common treatments found throughout Clark County. However, within the championed modern features of this home, touches of originality can still be found. From the driveway to the dining room, the design guides the viewer through the home while maintaining a comfortable and creative atmosphere.
