The homeowners decided to update their kitchen with new cabinets to give it a more transitional look. They went with the Bridgewood Advantage Mission Shaker door done in Maple. The wall cabinets were done in painted white while the base cabinets were done in grey. We also installed a white Quartzite countertop along with a white glass subway tile backsplash. Some additional items we installed were a 5 shelf Pantry pull out, 3 stacked to the ceiling base and wall pullout units next to fridge, a double 50qt waste pullout, the Hardware Resources Blind Corner swing out, 2 stacked wine cubes, base and wall spice pullouts to left of range, Sheet Pan organizer to right of range, double pullout shelves in peninsula cabinets, Pot & Pan organizer in peninsula cabinets, pullout shelf in outside door of peninsula and under mount & accent lighting.
Stacked Shaker Crown was custom installed, and continued throughout the dining room for a seamless transition. We also recreated the Shaker look with custom made battens on all end panels. Base, wall and tall cabinets as well as Microwave placard were trimmed with custom made battens to simulate the shaker doors. To complete the look a new oak hardwood floor was also installed.

A convergence of sleek contemporary style and organic elements culminate in this elevated esthetic. High gloss white contrasts with sustainable bamboo veneers, run horizontally, and stained a warm matte caramel color. The showpiece is the 3” bamboo framing around the tall units, engineered in strips that perfectly align with the breaks in the surrounding cabinetry. So as not to clutter the clean lines of the flat panel doors, the white cabinets open with touch latches, most of which have lift-up mechanisms. Base cabinets have integrated channel hardware in stainless steel, echoing the appliances. Storage abounds, with such conveniences as tray partitions, corner swing-out lazy susans, and assorted dividers and inserts for the profusion of large drawers.
Pure white quartz countertops terminate in a waterfall end at the peninsula, where there’s room for three comfortable stools under the overhang. A unique feature is the execution of the cooktop: it’s set flush into the countertop, with a fascia of quartz below it; the cooktop’s knobs are set into that fascia. To assure a clean look throughout, the quartz is continued onto the backsplashes, punctuated by a sheet of stainless steel behind the rangetop and hood. Serenity and style in a hardworking space.

A dynamic great room space! The classic white shaker style kitchen is revolutionized with warm accents on the island, a modern glass panel back splash in a copper finish, and oil-rubbed bronze hardware. The custom curved fireplace wall is covered in a textural tile from Porcelanosa to accentuate its form. Two concave niches for artwork, a modern gas fireplace, and built-in t.v. make this a one of a kind feature. The staircase was modernized with dark wooden treads and a custom aircraft cable railing with welded iron posts to complement the large iron post supporting the eating bar fastened to the kitchen's island. The adjoining guest bathroom was remodeled with sleek modern finishes to flow with the design of the great room.

Colorful fun guest bathroom. Keeping with the original location of the vanity and toilet for cost savings; we modernized this bathroom and increased functionality by adding a lighted recessed medicine cabinet and a new vanity. The hydroslide shower door eliminates the obtrusive swing door and increases the doorway opening.

This main floor was dated and the kitchen was in desperate need of a layout change. After reviewing the floorplans + removing a couple walls, we created a large, open concept feel perfect for entertaining + family functions! Featuring two tone cabinetry, a custom bar area + a stunning new media wall, you won’t believe the before + afters!

For this kitchen, designed by Peter Bittner, the client had a very clear idea of what she wanted right from the start. She did her research. The mother of a fast growing, young family, she wanted something as efficient as it was beautiful – on the simple, yet elegant side. Her requests were straightforward: white and light grey Bilotta cabinetry in a transitional style so as not to compete with the detailing inside her 1950s Tudor-style home; a heated tile floor (By Rye Ridge Tile); stainless appliances; white subway tile backsplash by Walker Zanger (again to keep it clean and not compete with its surroundings); and seating at the island for snacks and homework. The “pop” suggested by Peter was done through the satin brass hardware and lighting fixtures. The real challenge with this space was to fit as much as possible into the existing footprint which was overall on the smaller side. The solution was eliminating a doorway (with a swinging door that opened into the kitchen) and stairs from the kitchen to the basement. By moving the stairs and doorway, the usable space increased considerably. The typical working triangle became the focus for one side of the kitchen and the island overhang and seating became available on the other side. To make up for the limited amount of wall cabinets Peter designed shallow pantry-style cabinets along the back wall. Quartz Countertops by Rom Stone Fabrication. We utilized the unused end of this odd-shaped patio with a hanging twin-sized porch swing. This unexpected feature is the star of the whole patio! Custom cushions and pillows in fabrics that coordinate with the rest of the furnishings tie the whole space together. Fresh white paint and new lighting make the low ceiling lighter and brighter.
