Grizzly Iron, IncThis contemporary entry gate is made from solid plate with decorative horizontal bars. The gate easily swings on a large pivot hinge (not shown). The "fixed" panel on the wall to the left also swings away if needed. The gate is topped off with a polished stainless pulls, inside and out. The gate is left with a natural rust finish with no sealer.

Gaile Guevara| SLIDE over SWING | to reduce hallways and broken down spaces we opted to carry the Baltic Birch as a uniform yet honest material through the staircase and upwards between spaces full height sliding over swing. A peekaboo of the sliding door that closes the entire master suite level but when tucked away reads as part of the walls. Denise Quade DesignA tile and glass shower features a shower head rail system that is flanked by windows on both sides. The glass door swings out and in. The wall visible from the door when you walk in is a one inch glass mosaic tile that pulls all the colors from the room together. Brass plumbing fixtures and brass hardware add warmth. Limestone tile floors add texture. A closet built in on this side of the bathroom is his closet and features double hang on the left side, single hang above the drawer storage on the right. The windows in the shower allows the light from the window to pass through and brighten the space.

This shower has 4 body sprayers, a rain head and hand held shower wand. The glass door swings both ways because many people pull a door open to enter. When finished with their shower they can open the door inward and pull the towel off the exterior towel bar/door handle. Drying off in the shower reduces the amount of water that drips onto the bathroom floor.
Most shower glass installers rest the glass on the (usually flat) curb and apply a bead of silicone to keep the water from going out to the bathroom floor.
As with other projects, we sloped the curbs in the 3 shower stalls in this house inward and the glass walls are raised about 1/4 inch above the tile curb so air can flow easily which helps dissipate moisture after a shower.
The water doesn't splash out because the curb is sloped up on the outside of the glass. And more importantly since there is no silicone where the water can sit and grow mold this configuration makes cleaning the shower easy.
