This lakefront home's kitchen draws from traditional Swedish design and style. A deep basin sink and calm color palette branch from cabinets to tile backsplash and articulate fixtures. All elements combine and bathe in the gorgeous natural light reflecting off the lake outside. Like a picture frame around a work of art, this kitchen complements, rather than competes, with the element the owners loved most: the view. The expansive waterfall island features the same Smoke Walnut signature finish, as does the custom Bakes & Kropp range hood, which is beautifully banded in stainless steel. Chic orb chandeliers and Bakes hardware in polished nickel bring some jewelry-like radiance to the room, juxtaposing the Walnut’s soft matte finish. From every view and angle, the composition reflects this home’s serene coastal vibe.

Custom white grommet bunk beds model white gray bedding, a trundle feature and striped curtains. A wooden ladder offers a natural finish to the bedroom decor around shiplap bunk bed trim. Light gray walls in Benjamin Moore Classic Gray compliment the surrounding color theme while red pillows offer a pop of contrast contributing to a nautical vibe. Polished concrete floors add an industrial feature to this open bedroom space.

This condo was designed for a great client: a young professional male with modern and unfussy sensibilities. The goal was to create a space that represented this by using clean lines and blending natural and industrial tones and materials. Great care was taken to be sure that interest was created through a balance of high contrast and simplicity.
