A week later, Nicole came out to their home to meet the couple. They talked about their kitchen remodeling project and told Nicole what they wanted in their dream kitchen. Nicole saw that the kitchen had weird angles that hindered the cabinets you could use. She knew that designing a space that met both the client’s needs and dreams would be challenging.
Nicole worked with Richard and Monica to create an innovative design. When the couple came out to Advance Design Studio in Gilberts, they were blown away by the 3D illustrations Nicole showed them.
“I incorporated a hidden pantry cabinet to not only be a cool feature but also allowed me to square off the walls to gain more cabinet space,” Nicole said.
The hidden pantry added storage and squared off the strange triangular nook, creating a more traditional and functional kitchen layout. With the layout problems solved, they worked together to select materials. Richard and Monica wanted something brighter than their previous dark brown kitchen. They chose a combination of blue and white cabinetry with a white subway tile backsplash and white quartz countertops. The design was finalized, the materials were selected. It was time to begin construction.
One fear most homeowners have when beginning a home remodel is dust. Advance Design uses BuildClean HEPA filters to eliminate dust throughout the house while construction is going on. Project Manager Jason and his crew created temporary walls and cleaned up after every day of work.
“We were very impressed with how clean and organized the crew kept things while the remodeling process was underway,” Richard said.
The result is just what Richard and Monica envisioned when they began the process. Richard’s love for cooking can be explored through all-new Thermador appliances, featuring an easy-to-use induction cooktop, built-in double oven, and spacious refrigerator. Matte black hardware contrasts the bright white backsplash, countertops, and cabinets, while the stunning blue cabinets complement the dark hardwood floor and stainless-steel appliances. The dual pendant light fixtures over the reconfigured island are eye-catching and add necessary lighting.

Shape of WickerComfortable, practical, light and cozy energy were the criteria that we worked with for this luscious, tropical home. An outdoor space you could be at ease in, never forgetting the four dogs and kids to cater for. It exudes personality, a chilled vibe reflecting the family and their lifestyle.
The design features a tight selection of complementary hues which were to remain consistent throughout the house and mirrored in the outdoor rattan furniture, with the use of plenty of white – we’re talking white walls, natural wood (the real deal) and ceilings, with pops of blue in the shutters and accessories.
The owners wanted elegant, refined, and quirky all at once, utilizing a highly desirable and useful space for parties and we are talking “large events”; the furniture could be taken apart and scattered effortlessly in and around the terrace and garden to make smaller pods to spread out the crowds comfortably whilst offering a relaxed corner to have more intimate chats away from the larger crowds or small intimate family gatherings; where tables were created to offer small intimate pod, but at the drop of a hat, could be joined together to make space for a larger family dinner.

Kitchen Solvers of CharlestonThis spacious kitchen was one that we had actually worked on before. The homeowners had us reface the kitchen many years ago from brown to white, and when the time came that they decided to hit the reset button and change nearly everything, they didn’t even call another company. That made us very proud!
We replaced the 42” wall cabinets with a 60” stacked cabinet featuring framed upper glass doors, in which the owner showcased some of his photography. They went with a maple mission shaker door done in the color snow. The kitchen was fitted with Three zones of LED lighting. One in the top glass cabinets, one for the main areas under cabinet, and one zone in the butlers pantry. All operable and dimmable from a wireless remote that can be placed on any wall within 100’ of the kitchen.
The butlers pantry was modified from a closed in double pantry set up to one with more counter space, and featuring a drawer microwave and a 6’wine fridge!
The island was enlarged significantly which involved some detailed plumbing relocation due to the unit being on the fourth floor of a luxury riverfront high rise. This relocation allowed us to expand and lengthen the island, and install a set of Monogram refrigerated drawers for meal prep, dual drawer banks for happy hour storage, and a hidden pullout storage area on the outer end for additional items. The tops were changed from builder grade granite to a luxurious Quartz, which was also used as a backsplash. Remodeling a kitchen for the second time was a first for us, but the new version has become their dream kitchen, and the talk of the building!
